First of all, the use of the word “discovery” is wrong, Magellan didn't discover anything.

This archipelago had been inhabited for thousands of years and already have a thriving civilization before the supposed discovery.
It is 16th century, when the Magellan expedition landed on the Visayas, they actually encountered a native kingdom that helped them. Due to months of voyage in the Pacific Ocean, their provisions didnt last and had led them to starvation, the natives actually was the reason they survived Instead of being grateful to Magellan, his death was the event that the Filipinos actually celebrate

This girl, barely 17 years old, was sentenced to the noose.

I would like this to be known, this girl deserves that her story be told, thus without filters, so that they can see that she was afraid of death, yes, but she was so brave that she preferred to be hanged before betraying her compatriots.

He was the commander of the West Group, one of the four top Russian commanders in the Ukraine. He was captured with his driver as he was trying to flee back to Russia in a stolen civilian car. He tried turning his epaulet stars sideways and claiming to be a LtCol, but his driver kept calling him “general.”

He has now disappeared from sight. But he has two choices. He can collaborate completely, or he can end up remanded to the Hague for war crimes trial before the International Criminal Court. And my guess is that he will collaborate because he would have been replaced anyway because of his massive failures. Either way, he will never see Russia again.

If financial aid is poured into them – though it never is, there is nothing to buy.

Food is not just a trade commodity. Without it, people weaken and die; societies come apart. It is more than a livelihood; it is an existential imperative and a moral one. An agriculture damaged and diminished by unfair competition will have a harder time, or will have no prospects at all, of recovering.

Food sufficiency must get the preferential treatment the riches, free trade countries always gave their agricultural sectors. Their policy boils down to: don’t do as we do, do what we tell you to. I am giving that policy the most serious thought if it doesn’t change or make more allowances for emergencies with long term effects."

God created the donkey and said to him, “You'll be a donkey and carry everyone's burden and will live for 40 years.” The donkey said, “Carrying burdens is OK, but 40 years is too much for me, give me only 30 years.” God granted his wish.

God created the dog and said to him, “You will be a dog and look after people's belongings. You'll eat whatever you are given by your masters and live for 40 years .” The dog said, ”All conditions are fine, but 40 years is too much for this job. Give me only 20 years.” God granted his wish.

God then created the monkey and said to him, ”You will be a monkey and entertain others with your tricks. You will live for 40 years.” The monkey said, “God 40 years is too much for me, give me only 30 years.” God granted his wish.
