โ€œEver since I was little, I dreamed of becoming a teacher.โ€

This was the very sentiment shared by 22-year-old Bianca May B. Gonzales, a Magna Cum Laude graduate and a recipient of the UNIFAST Academic Excellence Award, as she passionately shared her very reason for choosing the noblest profession of all. To her, teaching is a map that leads her to a hidden treasure; however, just like any trail that points to the most precious gems and finest golds, her journey as student-teacher, student-leader, and academic achiever has been as steep as a mountain climb.

As a child, Gonzales has always felt enthusiasm for doing activities that made her feel as if she were a teacher. This includes reading numerous books, checking task sheets she accomplished herself, and joining various outreach programs in church ministries where she became a torchbearer who illuminates knowledge and wisdom among her fellow youth. At such a young age, she already knew what she wanted to become: to be an educator who inspires the young, shapes their minds, and transforms their future.

โ€œI believe this is the path Iโ€™m meant to take, that I was called to teach,โ€ she recalled exuberantly.

Little did she know that her childhood dreams of becoming an educator would eventually come true as she was accepted into the home of the white-wearing but non-nursing uniformed students, the Philippine Normal University North Luzon (PNUNL). It is one of the five campuses of the Philippine Normal University (PNU), a college institution known as the National Center for Teaching Education.

When asked why she chose PNUNL to bridge her and the dreams she had as a child, she said that the university is known for producing excellent education leaders, and for providing an environment where aspiring educators like her can receive quality education to become professional and future-ready teachers.

In PNUNL, Gonzales took the Bachelor in Social Science Education (BSSE) program, which mirrors her upright values and profound interest in leadership and making an impact in the challenging yet rewarding realms of education.

โ€œItโ€™s not just about academic excellence, itโ€™s about us preparing to make a real impact in the field of education,โ€ she stated.

However, despite the optimism and passion that fuel her heart and soul, there is no doubt that Gonzales was also one of those who could truly attest to PNU President Bert J. Tugaโ€™s viral statement: โ€œMahirap makapasok, pero mas mahirap makalabas.โ€

Like any other PNUan, Gonzales struggled and juggled her academics, extracurriculars, and her social as well as personal life to be able to cross the finish line of the arduous yet fulfilling four-year college journey. Besides being a social science student and a member of three organizations under the Social Science Department, namely, UNESCO, the Club of Living Traditions (CLT), and the Social Science Club (SSC), Gonzales also served as a student leader in PNUNLโ€™s Student Government (SG) for nearly four consecutive years, wherein she was elected as the SGโ€™s General Secretary in 2023 and as Vice President for Internal Affairs in 2024.

Yet despite being the jack of all trades she was, she proved she could be a master of all the trades she devoted herself to. On August 8, 2024, Gonzales crossed the end of the bridge of her college life in PNUNL, but not just as a student and as a student-leader; rather, as a class valedictorian of Batch 2024 and a recipient of the UNIFAST Academic Excellence Award.

โ€œI never imagined that I would become the top student, especially because I knew entering PNU would be more challenging than anything I had faced before. This achievement is something Iโ€™m proud of, and itโ€™s a reminder of how far Iโ€™ve come,โ€ she said, feeling proud of the precious gems and finest golds she reaped that day.

Her teaching aspirations as a child and her journey to become an educator are a testament to the power of dreams realized. But beyond that, Gonzales also stood as a testament to the strength and resilience of women, proving that their potential knows no bounds, regardless of the challenges they face. As she climbed steep mountains and reached the summit of her PNUNL journey, she could finally say the words that every PNUan would want to say at the end of the day, โ€œNakalabas na rin, sa wakas!โ€

Truly, the winding path of her dreams has forged Gonzales into a force to be reckoned with, a woman ready to face the tempestuous challenges beyond the sheltered walls of Inang Pamantasan. As she sets her future-ready feet to the next step of her becoming, it is for sure that sheโ€™s not only making her family, friends, classmates, and alma mater proud; because more than anyone, sheโ€™s also fulfilling the dreams of her younger self, who passionately yearned for her to be an educator.

Soon enough, she'll be standing at the front of a bustling classroom, her voice echoing off the walls as she sparks the curiosity of a room full of bright-eyed learners. It's a dream she's nurtured since childhood. Yet, for now, sheโ€™s got three letters to earn at the end of her nameโ€”a tangible weight on her shoulders but a stepping stone toward her lifelong aspiration of becoming a teacher. Sheโ€™s one step closer to this dream.

The Student Government (SG) and the Student Affairs and Services Unit (SASU) urged several boarding house owners near Philippine Normal University North Luzon (PNUNL) on Friday to cooperate with the university and ensure stronger safety and security measures among students.

In a virtual meeting organized by the PNUNL SG and SASU, Jan Ella Bravo, SGโ€™s Vice President for External Affairs (VPEA), said that the university and SG had already coordinated with the local policemen and the barangay officials of Aurora, Alicia, Isabela to secure the safety of students in PNUNL.

She added that some policemen and barangay police officers were already seen patrolling around PNUNL to ensure the safety of students, and landowners were also encouraged to cooperate with them for โ€œmore secureโ€ boarding houses in the area.

โ€œI hope makipagtulungan kayo sa amin to secure the safety of our students kasi wala naman pong ibang gagalaw kundi tayo,โ€ Bravo stated.

The call was made after the SG and SASU received concerns from PNUNL students about their boarding house experiences through a survey initiated by the SG before the academic year 2024-2025 commenced.

The survey revealed some concerns on security measures and finances experienced by student tenants in their boarding houses during the past academic years.

Bravo said the students raised issues on boarding housesโ€™ lack of security, highlighting studentsโ€™ uncomfortable experiences in boarding houses with stores in front where random people drink alcoholic beverages, possible intrusion of strangers to boarding houses, lack of streetlights, installation of CCTV cameras in boarding houses, and disrespectful attitude displayed by landowners to students.

The SGโ€™s VPEA also mentioned that the survey revealed students' financial restraints on boarding houses, noting that several landowners were asking for expensive fees even during vacation and online classes, and some owners also do not issue receipts for electricity, water, and Wi-Fi bills.

To address the concerns, the SG and SASU said that they will impose strict implementation of Boarding House Visitation and Profiling, which aims to assess the living conditions and the safety of students in their boarding houses, ensuring that landowners will comply with university standards and address student needs.

The SG and SASU also proposed two types of reduced boarding fees that landowners may consider in compliance with the SGโ€™s Reduced Boarding House Fees during Vacation and Online Classes.

โ€œImplementation will begin in September and will be strictly monitored by the Student Government,โ€ Bravo said in the presentation.

Meanwhile, Prof. Vivien Mauricio, Coordinator-ISPS, said that the call aims to address the issues faced by the students and to ensure improved services among students and boarding house owners.

โ€œMay ibang mga estudyante kung saan nagkaroon ng hindi magandang experiences sa mga safety measures ng boarding houses, [but this meeting] is to establish closer relationship with you para maipatupad ng maigi [ang mga policies] at para maipakita ang magandang serbisyo sa kanila,โ€ Mauricio told the boarding house owners.

Additionally, in response to boarding house ownersโ€™ concerns, which mostly involved seniors who are โ€œsuddenlyโ€ leaving their boarding houses during Field Studies and Practice teaching without prior notice and without paying, Mauricio urged landowners to have memorandum of agreement and contract to avoid such instances.

โ€œFull implementation ng policy, kung ano ang agreement at contract. Iyon na lang po ang paigtingin natin para maiwasan ang problema,โ€ that SASU representative said.

โ€œWe are also intensifying our efforts to remind students of their responsibilities,โ€ she added.

Long live the valiant souls of truth, undaunted by oppressionโ€™s shadow. Bold are the scribes who fight for freedom, conquering war without bloodโ€”but bleed penโ€™s ink in the battlefield of plight.

Today, the great war for freedom continues. Let the eyes that see witness reality. Let the mouth speak of facts, vomit the lies. Let the hands that write curate the words until the nib runs dry. Let journalism persist, until it is no longer seen as a crime.

Power players may resort to censorship, disinformation, and threats to take down the walls built with courage, but thereโ€™s nothing more intimidating than a journalistโ€™s spirit who knows its truth and is greater than the shades thrown upon their words.

As defenders of truth, The Torch North Luzonian celebrates the people behind the struggle whose valor continues to amplify voices and defend the freedom of the press for transparency and accountability. Happy National Press Freedom Day!

To strengthen partnership among stakeholders and ensure that they are informed with the rules and regulations inside the university, the Philippine Normal University North Luzon's Students Affairs and Services Unit (SASU) and executive leaders conducted its Online Parents Orientation for freshmen students earlier today, via Zoom meeting.

According to SASU, the said program aimed to give sufficient understanding about the university and encourage the parents to give active support to their children's academic pursuits in the university.

Dr. Leticia N. Aquino, Dean for Academics and the Hub, welcomed the parent and assured them that their children are guided and well taken care inside the University.

"Aalagaan natin sila. Kasama ninyo ang PNUNL sa pagkamit ng kanilang mga pangarap," said Aquino

Meanwhile, Atty. Donna B. Remigio, Head of Quality Assurance Management Unit shared the symbolic meaning under the university's core, vision, mission and university quality policy, and other University related matters.

Dr. Ma. Lina P. Sario, Campus Registrar, and Dr. Clemente M. Aguinaldo Jr., Associate Dean of the Faculty of Teaching Development (FTD) also shared the university's grading system, and reminded the proceeding learning modalities and schedules of classes to the parents.

Moreover, Dr. Nicette N. Ganal, Coordinator, Undergraduate Program discussed the PANAGPATANUR Program's procedures, implementation, and possible outcomes which will help the students for their preparation in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LEPT).

Additionally, Dr. Julievic D. Paltic, Head of Students Affairs and Services Unit (SASU) oriented the parents with the prescribed uniform for the first year students and opened her office for concerns.

"Kayo ay pwedeng dumulog sa ating opisina at ating sasagutin ang inyong katanungan," Palting emphasized.

The online orientation ended with an open forum with the parents where they were given chances to raise questions and concerns.

Oh, teka lang naman fren! Calm down, akala ko ba naka-move on na tayo diyan?

Now that weโ€™ve started an academic year anew, the talks on PNUNLโ€™s โ€œbow cultureโ€ have resurfaced and become notorious among PNUans in North Luzon again. However, as much as we value the โ€œbow culture,โ€ or the practice of bowing or simply nodding as a form of greeting, acknowledgment, and respect, we must also remember that this practice should be done to promote genuine love, respect, and harmony within the university and not to reinforce a hierarchical structure and power dynamics between PNUans.

Hence, let us practice the bow culture out of love and respect. But if our fellow PNUans do not give back the same bow to us, P**yo M*****s couldnโ€™t care any less.

โ€œHave you already figured out your purpose in this world? Or have you ever thought of what it means to live?โ€

These were the few questions I scribbled in my notes after I crumpled the paper and threw it somewhere in the four corners of my room. I feel like they are absolutely absurd. I unknowingly allow myself to lay down in bed with papers sprawled all over it. Minutes later, I saw these broken crayons under my cabinet, they were full of dust. Upon thinking that they may be useless, my body unconsciously gets up and picks them up one by one. I actually didn't know what to do with these until I found myself picking up the crumpled paper I threw up earlier and started to write.

My realization came while writing on a piece of paper using the broken crayon. I thought they had no use at all. However, even the most broken crayon still leaves a trace of color; it still kept choosing to shine and refused to be silenced by its brokenness. The little broken crayon still carries within it what it was: it can create beauty despite being broken. This crumpled paper may no longer be as smooth as it once was; its texture may be different now, but it still has the ability to bear words. These damaged things have been used and are still useful.

Our worth doesn't become less by our damages; regardless of the brokenness within us, we still embody the beauty and value of perfect imperfections. There's beauty in being damaged, and there's a purpose that shows that even damaged things are still able to shine hope in us.

Red marked on the calendarโ€™s 26th of August foretells not just the history of bravery from the past but the roots of this unfettered freedom in the present. The blood of those who conquered stained indelible pride in the countryโ€”never to be forgotten as the echoes resonate a blast.

Heroes, as they say, are those who stayed at the forefront amidst the gashes of warโ€™s turmoil. They are the faces immortalized in history books who did more than just be remembered by mere physical recognition.

Know your Rizal, Mabini, Aguinaldo, Bonifacio, Luna, Silang, Aquino, Del Pilar, Kudarat, and other iconic figures not just from these pages but for their enduring impact on the countryโ€™s future as they advocate for change, a legacy that continues to flow through the bloodline of Filipinos today.

Every ordinary sunrise can speak of the sacrifices made for sovereignty and peace. Yet, a day offered to those who triumphed is a sacred symbol that we fought and Filipino souls prevailed. Happy National Heroes Day!

ALICIA, Isabela---To enlighten and guide freshmen students to college adjustment as they start their journey at Inang Pamantasan, the Students Welfare Services (SWS) of the Student Affairs and Services Unit (SASU), together with the Philippine Normal University North Luzon's (PNUNL) Peer Helper's Circle and the PNUNL Student Government (SG), initiated a growth session on adjusting to college life at the university gymnasium today.

The said program, entitled "Growth Session: Adjust to College Life," intends to help freshmen students cope with various challenges brought by the transitions they face in life through some pieces of advice from professors.

In her welcoming remarks, Julievic Palting, Head of SASU, advised the freshmen students to avoid competition among their fellow students.

"In college, you do not compete with your classmates; you compete with yourself and the standard of the university," Palting said.

Meanwhile, Carlino G. Santos Jr., a guidance counselor and SWS coordinator, spearheaded the growth session and shared some reminders on adjustment in college life.

"Bigyan ang sarili ng oras para mag-adjust. Makakasurvive lang kayo if you allow yourself to open your mind through responsibility," uttered Dr. Santos.

(Give yourself time to adjust. Youโ€™ll survive if you allow yourself to open your mind through responsibility.)

"If you're thinking about giving up, alalahanin lang ang mga goals sa buhay. Laban lang sa buhay, dahil kung lalaban ka you allow those opportunities to come into your life," he added.

(If youโ€™re thinking about giving up, remember your life goals. Keep fighting in life, because if you fight, you allow those opportunities to come into your life.)

Moreover, he highlighted the importance of consistency, kindness, a growth mindset, and setting a goal to make college life bearable.

Santos also conducted a refreshment activity through butterfly therapy and a self-assessment paper to help the students individually embrace themselves.

On the other hand, a group activity led by Jan Ella Victoria A. Bravo, SG Vice President for External Affairs (VPEA), and Jayrald Austria, President of Peer Helper's Circle (PHC), presented a playful way of introducing and expressing themselves from one person to another.

In an interview, Isce Arquero from OBTEC-NL-1 shared what she learned from the growth session.

"It is progress, not a matter of rush, yet it is about how you meet success in the very end, ng buo ka parin o yung wala ng nawawala sa part mo," she expressed.

In her response, Ramos emphasized that this was a dream come true for her, but at the same time a huge challenge to conquer as she vows to continue to make a legacy for the publication.

"I have been dreaming of this since I was a first year. [But] when I was tapped to be appointed as EIC, I was pressured, especially with the legacy that Kuya Muel and Kuya Eren brought to the publication," Ramos said.

"However, I am confident that with this year's set of BOE, we can work together towards the common goal of our publication. Sana kayanin ko at sana tulungan ninyo ako kasi hindi ko ito kakayanin mag-isa," she further stated.

Meanwhile, in his farewell message, Bueno expressed his gratitude and challenged the newly appointed BOEs with some words.

"To the new Board of Editors, I leave you with this: May your flames burn even brighter, lighting the way for those who follow you in the publication. Lead with courage, write with passion, and never underestimate the power of the torch you now carry," the outgoing EIC uttered.

As part of the orientation program, the first-year students also had the chance to meet the dedicated and experienced university and Campus Officials and Administrative Staff who embody the universityโ€™s commitment to excellence as Dr. Richard Guiyab, Head of Human Resource Management, Dr. Clemente Aguinaldo, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Teaching Development (FTD), and Dr. Madonna Gonzales, Dir. For Finance, Administration, and Planning, officially introduced them.

Furthermore, Dr. Agnes Reyes, Executive Director and Provost, inspired the students as she highlights that everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses and that every learning process is a journey for self-discovery and personal growth.

Dr. Leticia Aquino, Dean for Academics and the Hub, on the other hand, expressed her warm gratitude to the newly selected students as they took their first steps on the journey towards Inang Pamantasan and wished them success in their academic endeavors.

To be aware of the essential guidelines, strengthen their commitment, and establish realistic expectations as they set out in the teaching field, fourth-year students of Philippine Normal University North Luzon (PNUNL) attended the Field Study 1 and 2 General Orientation Program, held on August 13, Tuesday, at the Innovation Hub Building, 4th floor.

The said orientation program aims to mentally and physically prepare students for real-world teaching scenarios through a thorough discussion on essential topics and concerns related to Field Studies (FS).

During the orientation, Dr. Ma. Lina P. Sario outlined the necessary requirements to be completed before deployment; Dr. Edilberto M. Andres Jr. emphasized the importance of understanding the roles and responsibilities of students both within and outside their cooperating school; moreover, Prof. Elma B. Siyang discussed the general guidelines and explained the main objective of FS1 and FS2.

Additionally, Prof. Apolonio P. Espiritu Jr. introduced the MATATAG Curriculum, stressing the importance of being equipped with its instructional framework, as it will be implemented in the current school year; on the other hand, Dr. Richmond Zito T. Maguigad provided insights into the assessment of learning, including how to compute grades and various strategies for assessing student progress.

Meanwhile, Dr. Clemente M. Aguinaldo Jr., Associate Dean of the Faculty of Teaching Development (FTD), shared his expertise on procedures, potential research problems, and topics in preparation for the studentsโ€™ upcoming CBAR proposals in FS2; Dr. Jandy S. Danzalan, Director for Research, Extension, Quality Assurance, and Development (DREQAD) had also discussed the essence of integrating technology in the classroom setting.

As the program went on, Dr. Julievic D. Palting, Head of the Student Affairs and Services Unit (SASU), reminded students of the principles, standards, and expected behaviors in the field.

โ€œIsa sa mga components ng professional ethics ay ang kredibilidad. โ€˜Yan ang pinakamahakagang iingatan ng bawat isa sa inyo,โ€ Palting emphasized, highlighting its significance in shaping the studentsโ€™ moral and professional conduct.

(One of the key components of professional ethics is credibility. That is something each of you must carefully protect.)

As the 236 seniors equip themselves for their upcoming deployment on August 19-20 to their respective cooperating schools, a fourth-year student from the IV Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (BECED) shared her insights on the importance of the PATNURO to their preparation in their deployment.

(Orientation is important because it will serve as our guide to understand, and gain knowledge about the possible things that could happen once we are deployed, it will be our shield.)

โ€œThe most important reminder is to maintain professionalism. Donโ€™t tolerate whatโ€™s wrong, stay humble, and be responsible,โ€ she added.

As they prepare to face the real world beyond their uniforms, PNU President Bert J. Tuga first challenged the 161 graduates of Philippine Normal University North Luzon to rise to the challenge of clinching top spots in the 2025 Board Licensure Examinations for Professional Teachers (BLEPT) during PNUNLโ€™s 48th Commencement Exercises, at the PNUNL Gymnasium, Thursday.

Showcasing data from the previous performances of PNUNL in the September 2023 and March 2024 BLEPT which brought an outstanding 100% rating and Top 2 Best Performing school feat with individual topnotcher for PNUNL respectively, Tuga said that the graduates should look at the figures and โ€œmaintain a hundred percent passing rate and be one of the PNU topnotchers.โ€

โ€œHinahamon ko kayo na makapasa ang lahat at madagdagan ang ating mga topnotchers. Ang hamon, zero casualty,โ€ he said.

(I challenge you all to pass and be one of our topnotchers. The challenge is zero casualty.)

Aside from challenging them to pass the BLEPT, which is expected to be held and taken by the newly graduated PNUans in September 2024 or March 2025, Tuga also vowed to give cash incentives to motivate them to clinch top spots in the said licensure examination.

โ€œFor topnotchers, there will be cash incentives as motivation. For Top 1, P50,000, for Top 2-5 P30,000, and Top 6 to 10, P20,000,โ€ he stated, however clarifying that they should not be motivated by money, but rather by the recognition they could bring for themselves, their family, and their alma matter.

Moreover, the PNU president also highlighted the need for a new โ€œsocial contractโ€ that is based on human rights, non-discrimination, social justice, respect for human life, human dignity, and cultural diversity, and that brings out a culture of care, reciprocity, and solidarity in an ever-changing world.

He added that PNU graduates should be the torchbearers of this โ€œsocial contractโ€ because they have the knowledge, experience, and power to ignite change in society.

With this yearโ€™s theme โ€œResponding to Current Education Challenges through Relevant and Future-Ready Teacher Education,โ€ PNUNLโ€™s commencement exercise highlighted two distinguished speakers who have shared inspiring messages and discussions on some of the pressing issues in society.

Don Angelo De Guzman, a PNUNL alumni and the first-ever grantee of the Fulbright Scholarship at Northern Illinois University in the history of PNUNL and Schools Division of Isabela, first expressed his conviction regarding the crucial role of a future-ready teacher education institution in addressing the challenges of the Philippine education system.

โ€œAs students of this university, known as the center of excellence for teacher education, the expectations weigh on your shoulders. As PNUANs, we are expected to be the torch bearers who would eliminate the dark times in education,โ€ De Guzman stated.

Meanwhile, Simplicia P. Hagada, Ethnographic Commissioner in Region 2 of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) emphasized the preservation of Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSP) with the help of institutions such as PNUNL, also known as the Indigenous Peoples Education Hub.

โ€œIโ€™m happy a daytoy nga university ket bigbigbigenda iti kultura ti IP. If possible, nu ag-ikutakto, agkumpanyaak iti IP nga ag-eskwelakayu man idiay tapno idiaykayu met nga makaadal ti maestro, maestra,โ€ she stated.

(I'm happy that this university acknowledges the culture of IPs. If possible, when I'll go around, I will campaign for IPs to study here so that they can learn how to become teachers.)

The NCIP Commissioner also challenged the PNUNL graduates to take part in the existing solutions in addressing the needs of Indigenous people in education, encouraging them to teach the Indigenous children.

โ€œNow, you are teachers by profession. Nu mabal-balin, dakayuntu ti namnamain nga mai-ifield idiay ayan iti least privilege nga kakabsattayu,โ€ she pleaded.

(Now, you are teachers by profession. If possible, you are the ones expected to be in the field and teach our least privileged brothers and sisters.)

Aside from diplomas given to the 161 graduates of PNUNL, medals and certificates for co-curricular and service awards were also given to the following students: Claire Mae C. Almodovar โ€“ Student Government Leadership Award and Jose Rizal Most Outstanding Award; Erenio D. Baltazar Jr. โ€“ Torch North Luzonian Publication Leadership Award and Pluma Leadership Award; Rhomarie G. Acob โ€“ PEMS Club Leadership Award; Shemarie Angel R. Palpallatoc as the male dancer of the year, and Kyd Briton D. Mendoza as the athlete of the year.

Meanwhile, this yearโ€™s valedictorian is Bianca May Gonzales of the IV Bachelor in Social Science Education (BSSE), who graduated Magna Cum Laude and received the Unifast Academic Excellence Award for meeting the highest general weighted average, the highest standard of academic excellence, exemplary leadership, and other noteworthy contributions throughout her academic tenure.

In her valedictory speech, Gonzales accepted the speakersโ€™ challenges and urged her fellow graduates to serve the nation with dedication and perseverance by extending their help to others sharing the light and guidance that Inang Pamantasan has bestowed upon them.

โ€œBe a map for those who are lost. A compass for those still searching for direction. And a torch that provides light for those who need it most,โ€ Gonzales stated.

Moreover, Erenio Baltazar Jr., another Magna Cum Laude of the Bachelor in English Education (BEE) and the top 2 of this yearโ€™s graduating class also delivered his insightful speech and emphasized their resilience in overcoming collective and personal setbacks, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

โ€œWe become someone through performativity. In our context, itโ€™s not being a PNUAN but rather becoming a PNUANโ€ฆItโ€™s not about being a teacher but rather becoming a teacher. As we perform, act, and behave to become someone, we dare and unlearn things. And our performativity began when the pandemic hitโ€ฆWe were called pandemic babiesโ€ฆWe started our college journey amidst a pandemic, a setback that charged us in many aspects of life,โ€ Baltazar said.

Meanwhile, in her speech, Dr. Agnes Reyes, PNUNLโ€™s Executive Director and Provost, shared her words of wisdom to encourage the graduates as they transition to the real world of teaching using their sufficient training and knowledge to make their mark in this world.

โ€œYour strength of character has taken you to this exhilarating moment. Ready to use your training and knowledge to make the world a better place for us,โ€ Reyes told the graduates.

โ€œGo and make your mark in this world. Believe in yourself. Shine on and go for it,โ€ Reyes proudly expressed,โ€ she added.
