๐ก๐๐ช๐ฆ | Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Bataan welcomes the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management from the University of Santo Tomas
Students of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management visit Letran-Bataan for a courtesy call for the ongoing Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) partnership with the University of Santo Tomas-College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (UST-CTHM) and Centro Turismo of the University of Santo Tomas along with their academic staff and course facilitator Arnulfo Ricardo A. Butiong, MMC, and Chairperson of the Tourism Management Program Ms. Christine Concepcion C. Fajardo, this October 22, 2024. The agenda of the weeklong tour is to improve Bataanโs marketing strategies with regards to its tourism industry.
The day began with a warm welcome from the officers of the Letran Student Council and the administrators of Letran-Bataan, greeting the Thomasians one by one upon arrival, creating a friendly atmosphere that made the students feel comfortable with their stay in the Colegio.
The students then gathered in the college Audio Visual Room for the seminar. The event was kicked off by Rev. Fr. Reynor E. Munsayac, O.P., the Vice President of Religious Affairs for the Colegio, with words welcoming the Thomasians for their visit to the campus, as well as to encourage the students to enjoy their stay in Bataan. During the event, Ms. Christine Concepcion C. Fajardo, expressed her appreciation for Letran Bataanโs hospitality with their visit.
The seminar was spearheaded by Letran-Bataan's own Mr. John Ian Seeckts, LPT, who shared his insights and thorough knowledge in marketing and research. He also explored and tackled the IMC, which is defined as the process of making marketing effective and more efficient.
Before the event ended, the 3rd year Communication Arts students of Letran-Bataan assisted the Thomasians with their branding. The Thomasians were grouped in half, together with the 3rd year Communication Arts students, as they discussed concerns about marketing, advertising, and business plans.
The event was wrapped up with a successful day of knowledge-sharing and connection. Thomasians, as well as the 3rd year communication arts students, will now proceed to the next itinerary for the 4-day tour.
