We grow together ❤️

When a child gets a year older, so does a mother.⁣
⁣
And yes, the first year as a mom is beautiful and transformational, filled with so many dirty diapers, out-of-control hormones, smelling like milk and spit up for months on end, so many firsts and so much growth, but so is every year—⁣
⁣
𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯.⁣
⁣
We’re learning when they have challenges with friends and supporting them while they find their people.⁣
⁣
We’re learning through their behavior challenges at school.⁣
⁣
We’re learning through their passions and what makes them whole.⁣

𝘞𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮.⁣

So, Mom, instead of just celebrating the child in front of you, and 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 growth,⁣
you need to honor yourself too.⁣

All that you’ve learned as a parent.⁣
All the battles you fought, tears shed, mistakes made, and the oceans of doubt and insecurity you swam through to get your child to where they are today.⁣

𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩⁣
this years hard and beautiful parts,⁣
and that’s something to celebrate.⁣

And where has the time gone?⁣
You’ll always see that sweet-smelling vulnerable newborn regardless of your child's age.⁣
