Coffee Industry Corporation's PNG Agriculture Commercialization & Diversification (CIC-PACD) Project staged a workshop on Coffee Extension work to capacitate newly recruited coffee extension officers to serve under Lead Partners for Component 3.1 - Productive Partnerships.
The training was conducted in utilizing KOBBO, an Information Management System (IMS) for Coffee Extension Services a new approach from the traditional conventional approach used in the past.
In this edition workshop participants share the experience gained from the training.

Coffee Industry Corporation's PNG Agriculture Commercialization & Diversification (CIC-PACD) Project is Coffee Research Institute (CRI) conducting a two weeks long training to equip recently recruited Coffee Extension Officers under the CIC-PACD"s Lead Partners to roll out coffee extension work with the small-holder coffee farmers in the selected project areas under CIC-PACD (Coffee Component)
This compressive training consists of one week for trainees from the Eastern Zone covering Eastern Highlands and Morobe Province whilst the same training is also designated for Western Zone consisting of Simbu, Jiwaka and Western Highlands Province the following week at Aiyura' Coffee Research Institute.
The core or heartbeat of the training centers around equipping the trainees with a newer approach of undertaking coffee extension work utilizing a digitized and electronic based CIC-PACD Management Information System - KOBO Tool Box Data Collection (MIF).
Each trainees are equipped with two tablets each per partnerships to undertake trainings and also to will be used later for implementation on the actual sites or locations concerned.
The information collected on locations and entered will simultaneously be transmitted back to the Project Management Unit (PMU), CIC-PACD and monitored effectively.

Papua New Guinea Coffee (PNG Coffee) is grown in the rich fertile soil and vegetation surrounded by densely thick tropical rainforest making it extraordinary unique in taste, flavour and aroma.
It is mostly farmed organically by rural based hard working small-holder coffee farmers free of chemical fertilizer and so forth.
Enjoy a cup of PNG Coffee which had a very rich origin that resonates well in every cup that is drank.

This is a sneak preview of a series of educational films focused towards empowering school aged children including people of all age groups to develop a positive mindset change by learning from the experience shared by some successful people in PNG societies who have strived to improve their livelihoods and that of their families.
These Mini TV Series are funded and supported by the National Performing Arts Troupe (NPAT) or Raun Raun Theater under the National Cultural Commission of PNG.
The films are produced by Nugini Digital Films and will be broadcast on RURAL TV Papua New Guinea (RTVPNG) & Niugini Digital Films (NDF) FB and YouTube TV Channels.

This is a full length documentary film 🎥 featuring the plight, struggles of Nomane small-holder coffee farmers carrying their coffee bags tracking through uncompromising geographical challenges to bring their produce to the nearest roadside to access coffee markets.
The farmers organized themselves and registered a company called MASA Coffee Producers to assist themselves access better market options available.
