5 must-do’s on New Zealand’s Mahia Peninsula ☀️

The Mahia Peninsula is in the Hawkes Bay region a couple of hours north of Napier. There’s plenty to see here and being well equipped with electric vehicle charge stations it’s a great spot for a road trip in an EV. 🔌🚙

Climb up Mokotaki Hill

Enjoy a picnic at Mahia Beach - this is a great time to charge up that rig as there is a .net.nz nz station right next to the beach

Explore the Mahia Peninsula Scenic Reserve

Grab a drink at Sunset Point

Spend a night and take in the views at the Mahia Holiday Park

Recently Roscoe, Maddi and Cam had a top couple of days exploring the Northern part of Hawke’s Bay and got to tick off a bunch of new spots.

Here are 8 things not to miss:

- Explore the Mangaone Caves

- Wander along the Wairoa River Walkway

- Stay at the Morere Lodge (P.S. they have glowworms on-site)

- Cruise along the Mahia Coast

Epic scenes from one of the best hikes in New Zealand — The Alex K**b Track located on the 🏔️

It’s a 4 hour climb to the top of Alex K**b, but when you’re rewarded with this view of the Franz Josef Glacier, it makes it well worth the effort.

The track starts not far from the Franz Josef township and will take your through forest and sub-alpine scrub. There a various viewpoints along the way to take in the mountain views.

This is such a beautiful spot and a must-do walk in New Zealand. Be sure to add it to one of your lists on the Roady app✌️

Looking for an epic day hike in New Zealand?

📍Welcome to the Mt Guy Summit Track, a 4.5 hour return hike, located in the Hakatere Conservation Park in Mid Canterbury.

The track is steep and is definitely a leg burner but the views from the top and along the way make it well worth it.

A few slides from our journey into Piopiotahi Milford Sound with RealNZ a couple of weeks back - the scenes we witnessed were mind-blowing 🤯

We caught the coach from Queenstown and enjoyed the comfy ride in before jumping on the Milford Sovereign for a cruise.

Highlights included:

🚎 Sitting back and relaxing while being driven through the magic of Fiordland
💦 Witnessing the cascading waterfalls
🦭 Seeing wildlife relaxing in the sun
☕️ Enjoying a hot cuppa while taking in the views
🍲 The delicious meal we had on board
🏔️ Feeling small amongst the towering mountains surrounding us

This is such a perfect way to experience this epic part of the world. Be sure to save this post for later. 🧡
