After gale force winds and rain last Saturday, Wellington turned on a stunning Sunday for Homegrown. We were out enjoying the city and took a few photos of our FlagTrax system in action.

Wellington City Council has just installed over 300 FlagTrax systems, including 23 Flagtrax Revolution poles. They are now dressed with vibrant flags for the Cricket World Cup, and with FlagTrax it took just one minute to put each flag up!

The result – a fantastic colourful and festive atmosphere to welcome our international visitors for the South Africa v UAE game today!

Porirua City Installs FlagTrax across Mungavin Bridge.

After trialling several FlagTrax systems on the Mungavin bridge for 18 months, Porirua City made the decision to install an additional 35 systems.
The Mungavin bridge FlagTrax test sites were in extremely exposed and windy locations and FlagTrax proved to be up to the challenge.

Easter has come early in Auckland! Just kidding, but it does look a little like that with the first three units of a FlagTrax installation going up on Ellerslie and Onehunga Stations for Auckland Transport. Can't wait to see the flags up on them.

MELBOURNE CHOOSES FLAGTRAX TO DISPLAY NEW STREETFLAGS

The beautiful beach front shopping village of Port Melbourne comes to life with the aid of Wellington designed Nexus FlagTrax.

Chairman of the Port Melbourne Business Association, Paul Littman, says the street flags have brought the area to life.
“Apart from providing a much needed boost of colourful promotion along the streets, the flags are one of the most effective ways of promoting our events and festivals to both locals and the thousands of people who arrive via cruise ships each year,” said Paul.
“Tourists will see the flags that line Beach Street as soon as they step off a cruise ship which I think will encourage them to take a walk and visit the quality shops and restaurants on offer in Port Melbourne.”
Paul Littman adds, “The key benefit for us in selecting FlagTrax was the convenience of our Association staff being able to change over the large flags themselves, without having to pay high prices for cherry pickers or interrupt the busy streets below.

“By using our existing poles we saved money on the initial installation and moving forward there will be huge cost savings compared to the older banner system and even opportunities to raise revenue through leasing the highly visible spaces to promote local business and events.”
The FlagTrax were supplied and installed by Evan Evans, an Australian company licenced by Nexus Developments to manufacture and market the system in Australia.
Managing Director of Evan Evans Roger Cameron says the team at Evan Evans are delighted that Port Melbourne has joined the growing number of Australian FlagTrax customers who are quickly enjoying the benefits of the unique state-of-the-art system.
“Being able to change street flags so efficiently means councils and business associations can not only promote their own events and festivals more effectively but they can also generate advertising revenue by leasing the banner space.

Hi everyone, just a quick note and a big “THANK YOU” for your support of Nexus during 2013. It’s been a very busy and exciting time for us especially in the latter part of the year with our move to supply and support customers directly here in NZ, as well as our US based Manufacture Distributor’s successful award winning launch in the United States.

The Nexus team are all excited and looking forward to building on this in 2014 with a focus on becoming the flag and banner infrastructure supplier of choice across our chosen markets.

Now to some housekeeping, over the 2013 – 2014 Christmas period, we will be closed from 20th December – 13 Jan 2014. That said, we will be available on cell phone for anything urgent.

We've just received a most unexpected card from Celia Wade-Brown, the mayor of Wellington congratulating us on our success with a Product of the Year Award in the US.
As a small Wellington company we are delighted to have received this recognition from our peers on the international stage, and now from our Mayor back in Wellington!

I had a great trip last week visiting potential and existing customers.
South Waikato District Council have installed our FlagTrax product and I was demonstrating it to another local council who very interested in the system.
Our contact at SWDC told us that it now takes them only 2 minutes to swap out each flag using FlagTrax. It took less than two hours to swap out 55 flags across our network which is amazing she was saying.

Another happy customer which is what it’s all about!
