Mother Nature gifted us a magical springlike day today, even though we are still right in the middle of Winter. The sun was shining, and it was surprisingly warm. We really made the most of the day by heading outdoors and feeling the warm breeze against our skin, celebrating in what looks like flowers beginning to bloom!

It's a rare opportunity to connect with nature's surprises and find happiness in these unexpected moments. To end the day and this week, I can't think of a more fitting track - Waitangi! off of Perry Trotter's album Peace Like A River.

Today is Aotearoa's (New Zealand's) national day - Waitangi Day. A day that marks the anniversary of the initial signing of the Treaty of Waitangi on 6 February 1840. An important day to reflect on what it means to be a New Zealander.
