With 2024 coming to close here's a playlist featuring some of the amazing songs I mastered right here at the Armoury! Thank you to all of the artists that trusted me to work on their craft, it was my privilege. It's quite a diverse range, so crank it up and enjoy some amazing NZ talent. A lovely day of filming done for a TV project. This show has an episode featuring an artist (not sure if we can say who) building a track from scratch using Taonga Puoro with electronic elements. Amazing!

We managed to get a little bit of maintenance in between sessions yesterday on our lovely Solid State Logic (SSL) 4K. Note the on the silk screening on the pcb, this desk was custom made for the one and only Peter Gabriel back in 1986!

This week we are lucky enough to have laying down the drums for their next album. We went with hybrid kick and a Tom’s with pinstripes for that 90’s thrash vibe. Dialling in the tone is next level fun.

Epic session at the studio last weekend with Crowns & Lunacy working on their new single.

We now have some Gobos in the studio. Almost finished, some wheels and supports and we’ll be done. These are custom designed to suit our requirements in the new ‘big’ room. First session this week.

Today we’re lucky enough to have the legend Maaka Phat in the studio. Some serious NZ history there Maaka has produced and played drums with everyone from Southside of the Bombay to Moana and the Moa Hunters and plenty more.
