Yesterday was so much fun!

I picked up my daughter, moko, DIL and niece before heading off to White Pine Bush for a nice gentle hike and a little geocaching. Theres a couple of easy short loop tracks there which combine to make one 1.6km loop.

Some of the trees are so enormous they make you feel like the tiniest of ants, and the holes beneath trunks makes you wonder what magic lives within them. My biggest highlight was the many walking bridges that gave gorgeous views of the creek below, and several small waterfalls.

We also discovered one of the cutest caches I've ever seen, hidden snug amongst nature. It looked like a farmer themed fairy house!

If you haven't tried geocaching before, I'd highly encourage you to download the app (NOT SPONSORED!). It's like a real-life treasure hunt and takes you places you might not normally visit.

Added bonuses of being outside in nature, doing light exersize and of course, the excitement of the hunt!

I'M STILL HERE!

Its been a while since I posted anything but I'm still around, just doing my thing.

Volunteering and helping others is a huge part of my life. Keeping busy is essential as it gives me focus while fostering feelings of accomplishment and productivity.

At the moment I'm preparing my Hastings property for sale with tidy ups and minor repairs, while also assisting two families to move homes. I've collected a vehicle for a German friend from Auckland and assisted two elderly women with garden maintenence and gutter cleaning.

I'm looking forward to getting this house on the market in a couple of weeks and starting some new adventures once it's sold.

Life is good ❤️❤️

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEEEEEEE

KIA ORA!
At home in Hawkes Bay and so happy to have the wee moko back in my arms!! My daughter is stoked that "Nanny daycare" has reopened 🤣

The bus was full of cobwebs when I returned, so have spent time cleaning up, getting things back to "normal", and sleeping! I didn't wake up til 11am today!

Really missing wee Motueka, was not expecting you guys to have such an impact on me!

I hear there's more big weather headed to NZ this coming week. Is rain-anxiety a thing? Cos I feel like it is...

Wow, what a difficult place to leave. I'm so emotional this morning, even cried with a beautiful stranger in a cafe getting my last Mot coffee at Toad Hall. I'm all over the place!

A huge thank you to David Tailby, who phoned me in Hawkes Bay, requesting my help. He started the ball rolling to get the community the support they very much needed, and together we were able to accomplish so much!

Dave housed me and put up with my bu****it on the daily hahahahaha. Such an awesome and inspiring man with a heart of gold.

Love you Dave! Til we see each other again.. ♥️🙏

A HEAVY HEART
My last day up the Motueka Valley was slow, quiet, thoughtful and thankful. I got the last piece of machinery back to it's owner and handed over the last set of keys.

A BITTERSWEET DAY

Today was particularly difficult, as the time has come to return machinery and begin heading back to our lives. After waterblasting and loading the diggers, we slowly drove them back to their respective owners and gave them a cuddle goodbye.

The last few days have been pretty hectic as we continued digging as much as we could. Smoothing driveways, scraping silt, piling slash, ripping out fencelines, even got a chicken coop back upright and ready for the hens to move back in.

I'm really going to miss this community. All the amazing people I've met along the way, whether it be through the mahi, or just randomly in the street! This area has made a huge impression on me and already, I can't wait to come back to visit.

I head back to Hawkes Bay on Thursday with a full heart, and I'm really looking forward to seeing my beautiful moko.

Thank you everyone for your continued love and support, the last 5weeks have been an experience I will not forget anytime soon!
