Humpback whales are currently migrating through Fijian waters 🇫🇯Such a privilege to be able to see these beautiful creatures this week in Fiji. 😍We are currently onboard MS Caledonian Sky enjoying a beautiful slice of comfort, culture and creation. 🐋🐋August starts the whale season here and Captain Cook Cruises have different cruise itineraries but only till October this year. Ok something a little different for ya all… 💃 Such a fun day at @alasharumbali People watching was probably the most fun. Ladies of all ages hiring beautiful long dresses and feeling the freedom as they get launched off the side of the steep rice terraces while harnessed in a swing suspended between a couple of tall palm trees. A photographer on hand to capture all those beautiful feminine moments of excitement when the g forces are at “maxQ”. With the long flowing train of the dress trailing 4 meters behind as though making a statement to any potential suiter that “you can’t touch this if you can’t catch me” Haha 😅the thrill of the chase so to speak, or has my imagination just got carried away with the freedom of the swing? The perfect day and it’s only 8:40am. This is how it went. Starting the day at 4:30am, a short walk to the beach to put the drone up and capture the hues of light coming through, locals swimming and fishermen doing their thing. Coconut round boats bobbing all night long with lights on top to attract the squid. Then the suns rays come over the horizon and touch the golden sand at An Bang beach. So we hop right in and enjoy a sunrise swim with the locals. Some are interested in the drone so I show them my screen. We don’t speak the same language but we both still appreciate the aerial perspective of a beautiful beach, some of these beautiful people haven’t seen what it looks like from above. People doing yoga, beach volleyball and burying themselves in the sand. This is all well before 7am, so a quick shower and off to a local family restaurant for breakfast consisting of pancakes with fresh fruit, smoothies and my fav egg coffee. When they say “ecume, there a 30 minut wait for egg cawfee” you know it’s going to be made especially for you. So good. The fact you know you have dinner reservations at your favourite restaurant in Hoian makes it the perfect day at 8:40am

ANZAC morning sunrise was a dawn to remember in more ways than one. “Lest we forget” are the words we all think of and how true it is that we reflect and remember who and what has gone before, but also true how we need to look to the future of peace in this country and around the globe. The urgency to offer anything we can to help restore peace, whether that be peace on a macro level between personal relationships we have or even on a larger scale within our local community, regions or country. If everyone took one step in the right direction towards peace how amazing would that look? Let’s all start with doing something small for someone else. I’m writing these words to encourage myself to do this.

An Autumn weekend in the Bay of Plenty has so many things to offer. 2023 Showreel - Here’s a snippet showing some of the work we have done this year. We would like to thank all our wonderful clients for allowing us to be involved with you this year and we plan to continue to offer aerial photography & videography into 2024 and beyond. We have managed to complete various tasks for Tourisim agencies, some content for resorts in Vietnam and NZ, video and photography for local businesses plus we’ve continued to build up our b-roll stock footage and NZ imagery. Some of the highlights for us was adding in an extra special member to our family 👶 and then of course (this is top secret) filming part of episode 4 in a dinosaur TV series for a London producer, learning the complexity of VFX for CGI was very fascinating🦖. Vietnam is such an interesting place to visit. From the busy city streets of Saigon in the south to the train that runs through the streets of Hanoi in the north, there’s something for everyone here, being a photographer I was attracted to the golden hands bridge but little did I know what else we would discover up at BaNa Hills 😮Spending some time in DaNang to enjoy the amazing beach and incredible night lights and of course 8 nights in HoiAn to get to know some lovely people and discover why they are known for lanterns and great food. Halong Bay and Ning Bing are incredible places but the sights on Phu Quoc island are hard to beat. Fleming Brothers Agricultural barley harvest John Deere Combine Harvester in Manawatu New Zealand

Harvesting barley in New Zealand. It started off a beautiful bluebird day, some morning fog rolled off coastal spots as sunrise broke through, after checking the moisture content in the barley crop and checking all the machinery is ready to go Fleming brothers agricultural contractors started the day finishing up some barley fields. The John Deere combine handled the hillsides like it’s designed to do with its self levelling ability and adjustable head. This machine is pretty large and when you add a few extra ton of grain on board stability on the slopes is paramount to safety and ability to harvest where some other machinery won’t go. After the barley season will be the maize harvest season with a different set up configuration this JD will be out working hard.
