Talking Business Events with Club Med

Meeting Newz took some time to talk Business Events Club Med style with Michelle Davies, General Manager for Club Med Pacific on her recent visit to NZ.

In the ever-evolving landscape of corporate events, businesses are constantly seeking novel ways to engage and motivate their teams. With restrictions on international travel gradually easing, the MICE sector is witnessing a resurgence in demand for overseas experiences that leave a lasting impression.
“With companies being limited to domestic events due to travel restrictions, we’re now seeing more than ever before a desire for overseas incentives and events that are really going to impress and provide an unforgettable experience. As businesses across an array of sectors accelerate, it's all about offering ‘the wow factor’,” says Davies.

The PCO Association (PCOA), is pleased to announce that the highly anticipated PCOA24 exhibition has been completely sold out.

This achievement underscores the strong interest and support from industry stakeholders and reflects the reputation and credibility of the annual PCOA events.

Due to overwhelming demand, we are now accepting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the exhibition booth waitlist. Interested parties are encouraged to register their interest, says Maxine Tod, the Director of Business Partnerships.

"Furthermore, the sponsorship opportunities for PCOA24 are experiencing demand and are selling faster than in previous years. This speaks to the value and exposure that sponsors can expect from partnering with PCOA and participating in PCOA24 at The Star Brisbane from 01 – 03 December 2024. For detailed information about PCOA24, including exhibition booth waitlist registration and sponsorship opportunities, please visit our official website." https://www.pcoaconference.com.au/

Tod adds, "PCOA is delighted by the overwhelming response to PCOA24, which demonstrates the trust and confidence that industry professionals have in PCOA. We look forward to delivering another successful educational program for and conference."

Building Foundations for the Future doesn't stop with the success of PCOA23!We invite you to join us in Brisbane in 2024 to continue the journey.

Where Sophistication, state of the art, conservation and relaxation meet.

In the beginning, the Dreamtime brought the world into being. In the area now known as Tropical North Queensland (TNQ), it was the great Rainbow Serpent, Gudju Gudju, who created the coastline's shape as he slithered all the way to the island of Wangal Djungay (Double Island) wrangling spirits into action to create a dramatically beautiful landscape filled with the flora and fauna that now populates it.

From the beginning of time to the now, the region experiences a constant state of flux, which, paradoxically, is the one thing that hasn’t changed; Tropical North Queensland’s ability to constantly hone, slalom, re-invent, discover, and re-discover within the extraordinary landscape and legacy left in the
writhing trail of Gudju Gudju.

The area is home to two Indigenous cultures – Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander – and the region advocates the overlay of Indigenous experiences into an overall conference programme through the inclusion of Indigenous foods, delegate gifts, speakers and welcome to country. Activities inclusive of Indigenous content include Great Barrier Reef tours led by Indigenous marine
guides and rangers who tell the story of the largest coral reef on Earth, from a First Nations perspective and educate delegates about traditional culture in an engaging way.

Cairns & Great Barrier Reef (C&GBR) has a strong tenet of creating connections
through business events that encourage attendees to connect with colleagues, their company, themselves and the surrounding natural world.

Distinctive opportunity

Selecting Cairns & Great Barrier Reef for a business event is choosing a destination with both a distinct point of difference and a commitment to conservation. At their core, businesses in C&GBR are committed to the conservation and preservation of the environment they operate in, ensuring
business events delegates will walk away knowing they are contributing to the greater good of the destination.
