Josh interrupted his Auckland holiday to prepare a video for his audition, then he jumped on a plane with 2hrs notice and dashed back to Queenstown for his fitting. WOW! What a star!!
Huge congratulations to our super talented Simon Chong, on your appearance on Shortland Street! You have come such a long way on your journey in the film industry, Simon 👏.

We have started working with Shortland Street this year and are thrilled each time some more of our talent are selected to be on this iconic production for Dialogue or Featured Extra roles to be able to provide opportunities like this for our Talent.

Here at InTouch Talent we are constantly finding ways to improve your success rate and get you selected. We have TV Commercial opportunities weekly which do require auditions. We invest in Audition Training ourselves so we are ready to coach & support our people when they are offered auditions.

Did you know there are 10 key points to remember when preparing for an audition?
1. Confirm your availability asap.
2. Watch the attached video.
3. Read the script.
4. Memorise lines OR if there are no lines - familiarise yourself with what is happening in the scene.
5. Research the company.
6. Make sure your outfit sells the look of the person you are auditioning for.
7. Know where you are going - where the building and parking is located.
8. Arrive at least ten minutes early.
9. Make friends with your nerves.
10. Practise your ID smile and tape.

We’ve proven several times just in the last 2 months that these absolutely work. And we review these steps monthly with our team at InTouch so everyone is ready when they get the call for an audition.
Remember it’s not just actors who get auditions - average every day people like you could get an audition too! Are you ready?
