Growing up in a musical household and playing in bands sparked his passion for music history and underground dance culture. Influenced by legends like Theo Parrish and DJ Harvey, his sets blend the obscure and the timeless. With over three years of experience as a promoter and designer behind the Craigslist brand, Colter has organised successful events in Ōtautahi and co-hosts the radio show ‘Rhythmic Ceremonies’ on Mouthfull Radio. In the summer of 2023/2024, Colter performed at several prominent events across Aotearoa, including TwoMinds Festival, Port Noise, Single Fin Mingle, and Christopher Tubbs’ Body Electric night. HAPPY RELEASE DAY @singr_nz ! A few years back we were sent the first batch of demos from Singr, and right from the start there was something special about his music: clear, understated, emotional , groovey, deep, vibey… whatever you want to call it, the was a little bit of magic in each and every production. Over the last 6 months we have been working towards a series of releases from @singr_nz and ‘Gold Tops (flip) managed to scrap its way to the top. We are privileged to have @singr_nz on SBK, and it has been a very organic and enriching experience working with this still evolving and deeply talented producer. And so tomorrow night we come together with our Ōtautahi family to celebrate @Singr, and to pay tribute to the power of music to bring us together. Big love to each and every artist on the bill, and also every person that has helped us bring this release and event to fruition. ARTIST SPOTLIGHT : RASTY �For someone with over 12 years of mixing under his belt @rasty_nightbirds has an uncanny knack breathing new life into the dance floor. He launched his mixing career in Osaka, Japan where he spent 5 years running local and international shows with the ‘Nightbirds Crew’. Coming back to NZ, he moved to Queenstown where he hosted various international artists and co-ordinated events in the local venues. Rasty is an active member of the scene and holds a residency on ‘Drop FM’ with ’The Good Show’ and has aired over 200 shows to date. His sets take you on a journey through the full spectrum of liquid, half-time and rollers.
