Ngā mihi nui to our judges Stu McDonald, Miriama Grace Smith and Kahurangi Falaoa (who had an impossible job to do) and to every person who took the time to enter and vote … not forgetting those who supported and encouraged others to enter including iwi radio stations throughout the motu!

For the past ten weeks, students of Te Wharekura o Te Kaokaoroa o Pātetere have poured their energy into building strength, health, and confidence, in the Manawa ora program. As Mihitaurangi Uerata reflects, “we just go as best as we can to the best of our ability and we're not competing with one another,” while Pareamio Rauhihi says the journey has been both physically and spiritually uplifting.

Students of Te Wharekura o Te Kaokaoroa o Pātetere embraced a journey of fitness, wellbeing, and camaraderie through the 10 Week Manawa ora program, Pareamio Rauhihi adds that the experience lifted not just their bodies, but their spirits, forging connections that will last beyond the classroom.
