This trip was pretty awesome for just the 2 of us to get out on a route neither of us had been on......
We were limited by time and weather, so we will be going back one day to explore more.
The peel range in the Cobb Valley.

Trying to find a way through some of the snow can be pretty challenging.
With the .nz stick we can check for holes under the snow as well as self arrest if we fall. It's a good bit of kit. We have the older version and the new one is even better.
It was cold and outer sitka gear from really had its work cut out for it. As always though we were good as thanks to great clothing.

Very rare native snail. Powelliphanta is their name.

Neither of us have ever seen one aliv, so this was amazing to see. It was in the middle of the track, so we moved it to the edge.

Cheesy we know, but never burn a bridge you might need another day.
Without bridges it makes getting to where we want to get to more difficult. ✨️
This isn't just true for traveling, it's the same for life.
Think about that for a bit 🤔

We climb and climb to reach the top, but somedays the top is out of reach and that's ok.

There will be another time coming soon to reach the top. Better prepared mentally, physically and gear wise.
It'll be easy next time 🤪
