Out and about with a camera and a young dog learning the ropes.
She will be a great asset for me in the future if I can give her enough time 'on the hill' in addition to her innate skills. She adds another dimension to a days hunting. Great fun.

New Zealand is blessed with a diverse range of native birds found nowhere else on the planet.
This is one of them - a Tui, and the diversity of colour and variety of feather types is extraordinary.
They are feeding on the Native Kowhai flower at this time of the year.

Rutting Buck Chamois are a very mobile beast. They can cover a huge amount of ground very quickly. I have never seen a more fleet of foot animal in rough terrain.
