My heavy metal album I made in 2003 while I was an Ibanez guitar tech. I used an Ibanez AX70TR electric guitar and an Ashton 5 string prototype bass guitar, recorded on a Zoom PS4. All guitar tracks were recorded in one take from start to finish, so it's sort of a live recording.

On a night that is etched in the memory of many, James Hetfield of Metallica showed that even legends have moments of vulnerability. In front of thousands of fans, Hetfield set aside his image of an invincible rocker and opened his heart. "I have to tell you, I wasn't feeling very well before coming here. I felt a little insecure. Like I'm getting old, I can't play this sh*t. That's what I was telling myself in my head. So I talked to these guys (the band) and they helped me, just like that." With these words, Hetfield confessed his doubts and fears, but also thanked his bandmates, who embraced him and said: "If you're feeling bad, we'll watch your back on stage." Through tears, James found strength in his audience and closed with a message that touched every soul present: "Seeing all of you out there, I know I'm not alone, and none of you are either." + It was a magical moment, a reminder that behind the music, there is a human being who struggles, feels, and finds hope in his family, friends, and fans.
