🌊 Icebergs, high seas, and racing drama: A chilling start to 2025 in the Vendée Globe! ❄️⛵

The Vendée Globe’s new year kicked off with an icy twist as competitors spotted icebergs for the first time in over 15 years! These frozen giants outside the Antarctic Exclusion Zone have sailors like Sébastien Marsset, Eric Bellion, and Guirec Soudée navigating with nerves of steel and carbon hulls just millimetres thick. Our amazing Kiwi sailor Conrad Colman captured the drama with his drone as an iceberg loomed on the horizon at dusk. 🌅

🌊 Sailing Through Time: The Bay of Islands Sailing Week 🌟

Part 3 of our 5-part series dives into the evolution of the Bay of Islands Sailing Week, from its humble beginnings in 2003 to its celebrated status as one of New Zealand's premier regattas. ⛵ https://boatingnz.co.nz/2024/12/sailing-through-time-the-bay-of-islands-sailing-week/

Over the years, it transformed into a world-class sailing event, drawing top talent, iconic yachts, and sailing enthusiasts from across New Zealand and beyond.
