When I named my business Soul Intentions on July 4th, 2008, it was no coincidence.

July 4th is Independence Day in the U.S.

I'm all about making things happen.

One of my new clients recently came to me because she knew she needed help.

“What makes you different is your superpower.”

After 16 years in business that has to be my biggest lesson.

I’ve always been ‘different.’ Now I know that IS my superpower. And as a result I’ve learned SO much along the way.

From building businesses and helping women create their dream lives, to mastering messaging, learning the latest AI tools, and how to create offers that help the world —this experience has been transformational, and I’m beyond grateful for the ride.

It hasn’t all been fun, I’ll admit that. There have been times when I’ve walked away and almost lost everything. (That’s a story for another day!).

But something deep inside kept calling me back.

Back to my heart.

Back to the knowing in my Soul that this is what I’m here for.

The calling is louder now.

As more heart-centred, soul-connected, purpose-driven individuals say yes to the knowing in their Soul too, I’m more passionate that ever to be over here navigating a path on the journey so they can turn on their light BRIGHTLY!

So if you’re curious here are 16 lessons I’ve learned along the way that I hope inspire you on your journey:

1. Proximity is power. Surround yourself with those who believe in you and challenge you to grow.

2. Consistency wins every time. Show up—even when you don’t feel like it.

3. Mindset is everything. If you believe it’s possible, it is possible. Also, it’s 90% mindset. The rest then flows.

4. Build a business that serves you. Don’t get caught up in the hustle; build with alignment and ease.

5. Embrace AI tools. It can transform your productivity and creativity and give you more space to be in flow.

6. Nurture relationships. Business is about people—be the one who shows up for others.

7. Create offers that light you up. Your energy sells as much as your offer.

8. Trust your gut. If it feels off, it probably is. You’ll be tested, but keep listening.

9. Clarity is power. Get clear on your messaging, and your offers and your dream clients will find you.

10. Be adaptable. The only constant in business is change—be open to it. Like bringing AI into your business (my next Challenge starts Oct 20th - come and play!).

11. Celebrate small wins. They are the stepping stones to big success. Your gratitude along the way will fuel you.

12. Your story matters. Don’t be afraid to share it—it’s your greatest tool for connection.

13. You don’t have to do it alone. Surround yourself with support, whether that’s a coach, mentor, or community.

14. Failures are just lessons in disguise. How you handle them is your superpower!
Embrace them; they will help you grow.

15. Lead with authenticity. People connect with the real you—don’t shy away from showing it. Turn up your superpower and show it to the world!

16. Never stop learning. Keep evolving, keep growing—there’s always something new to master.

I actually have so many more lessons but this will do for now. Perhaps I’ll need to do a Part 2!

I’m so proud of this journey, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
