Today is strips and checks day here. How amazing is it to get out of the truck and it looks like this. Sometimes I wonder if the bees are here to stop me wandering into the bush and staying there. I am so at risk of just never going home one day except for my responsibilities of bees and dogs and cats and tribe.

Do you ever see signs in nature? I haven't seen a red spotted since I was a small child. Plenty of the blue ones, but never these. Instantly I was taken back in my mind to my nannas house, and her delight at every ladybird she came across. These ones. " Oh how gorgeous" she would say, and to put her outside. "Ladybirdss are good luck!" And she would go about her day with a smile waiting on her ladybird blessing. This is the same nanna who listened to the moreporks for warnings of death or intruders. The same nanna who told me a bee in the house was a sure sign visitors were due, and she would ready some kai. As a nerdy child, I thought our sheer number of relatives was a sure sign visitors are due but some see signs in nature. Do you? Kia ora nanny, I see you. I see you saying hello I love you xo❤

We hang out every day and I sometimes wonder if he gets enough attention 😂 Rics birthday was on Waitangi day and hes officially 11 people years old. I love you best friend. You are the part of the day where I stop and smell the flowers❤ Hes officially on a nutritionally dense diet of bone broth in addition to his normal food to help boost his gelatin and mineral intake as he ages. I can highly recommend it as I have noticed hes back to walking me like when he was a pup instead of me walking him. His joint stiffness looks like it has eased and his grey hair has even started growing back in dark again. I was really surprised by the change in him. Might have to give it a sip myself! Happy birthday my love. You are the goodest boy. Treats and walkies and inside time and other doggy love words

I found this dead dragonfly on my car and picked him up because weird girls like bugs. I took him to show mr stings ( he humours me and tells me how cool it is) and as I walked past our fan, the wind caught his wings and he flew again outside into the grass somewhere! We don't bring eachother flowers. We bring eachother dead bugs.

When you misplace your hivetool, use your fattest car knife. Thats propolis not blood. my dad is a prison guard and isn't allowed to have knives in his car at work, after a lifetime of teaching us self defence and to carry a car weapon now he drives around with just his hands.
