Old faithful AER amp still singing after 22 years of gigging and touring. She’s had a few dings from flights and the foam on the front disintegrating today. Still sounding great and it’s been the best investment. If you are buying an amp and you know you’ll be doing this for decades… get the best one money can buy! It’s inspiring to use - even when your spirit is weary.. it cranks!

Ever wondered what’s behind the timber lining in the studio? When the studio was built we put 20 years of gig posters on the walls.

Lots of good memories (some not so good!) set lists and gig tickets etc reminds me it’s been a long journey that continues to evolve.

Come a long way since I first picked up an acoustic guitar in 2003 when I was at university in Australia!

Did a bit of organising and updating in the studio. These 3 guitars on the wall keep getting better with age. I’m glad I invested in quality gear when I started out on this journey 25 years ago! 2001 Maton 808, 1978 Ibanez 12 string (hand made in Japan) and an Ibanez Art core customised hollow body electric.

Here’s a few pics from last evenings event. My friends who are recording in the studio performed well and it’s such a cool feeling being able to share my experience and mentor them through the live performance setting. Lots of laughs and learnings gained.

I love recording piano parts with my irig keyboard. I can play the track, then slide any off notes into perfect position, change the loudness note by note and experiment with the tone.

Think I’ve written one of my best songs ever. Amazing what comes out when you create time and space. Excited to be back in full swing again. This is the living room table in Hanmer. Nice acoustics with snowy mountains out the window.
