Rangatahi 88.3 ERFM was established in November 1998 which comes under the umbrella of the Edmund Rice Youth Trust. Edmund Ignatius Rice was born in 1762 in Callan, County Kilkenny, Ireland - Founder of the Christian Brothers. "His example drew to him young men who came to assist in the work, not for money but because they felt it was God's call to them."

This is to provide a much needed service for information, community notices, business promotional advertising, prize give away's and music.
