Am so proud of my friend @jenscoular, our new deputy mayor of Tauranga. 👏👏👏. Here’s us celebrating.
So enjoyed helping with her political campaigning and working with Glenn Dougal and Tania Bui.
Jen and I are working on some ideas where we can tautoko more wāhine to rise in this arena, in the coming months we’ll share our playbook of what worked and what you can do to start building your team/campaign now.
Tauranga, let’s not have only 1 wāhine representing us next time!
Loved that Jen wore a Toi Tū Te Tiriti braclet to her swearing in. That’s what we need more of in leadership. 🙏🏼

Whare Creative worked with @jenscoular to help secure this win. Glad we got at least 1 woman in the Tauranga City Council. 😢🫡🙄. There is much work to do in the representation space here.
He kōrero hōhonu. Deep discussion en route to Tāmaki. 🙏🏼 #maoriculture #wairua
Took this fun photo with Mount Ward candidate Jen Scoular and Mayoral candidate Mahe Drysdale at the Mount skatepark.
Jen is around 5 ‘6’, so Mahe is a giant, no wonder he won all those Olympic medals!
We were across some paid polling last week, and it showed no women were ranking first in any of the Wards. Now, it was just one poll, and we hope it’s not right… BUT, just in case wāhine ma we need to mobilise and vote.
Of course Jen Scoular for Mount Ward has our vote of confidence, she’s more than qualified for this position.
As at 2 days ago only 11 percent had voted.
Get amongst it, please vote. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Proud of our work with Tourism NZ in this campaign, under the partnership brand Takitoru, with DDB Aotearoa ( Link in bio)
