At one end of Pararekau Road are million dollar homes with sea views. At the other is a notoriously dangerous arterial road.

In between is a retirement village with around 200 residents, three bus stops and a shopping centre.

For more than a year, what's been missing is a complete footpath, a safe even road surface and street lighting.
