Among the first generation of New Zealand Born Samoan, now retired former Pacific Studies lecturer and Associate Professor at the University of Auckland, Lupematasila Misatauveve Dr. Melani Anae shares the story of being raised in the 1950's and 60's as a first generation NZ born Samoan and how her upbringing emboldened her through her journey as a member of the Polynesian Panthers during the Dawn Raids era of 70's Auckland and through her career as a researcher and lecturer.
