Hi All! We have decided to postpone our kids competition. We are very sad about it but safety first! Please let anyone know who was coming down for it. We will post our next date soon for our kids competition 🐟

Conditions looking absolutely hideous on Saturday for the Take A Kid Fishing competition sponsored by Buckland Marine. 🌬️💨🌧️
We'll make a call on Thursday 16th January as to postponing, but the weather will have to drastically improve before we will consider holding the comp. Good news tho, Saturday 1st February has a high tide at 10.13am so we may be able to shift the Take A Kid Fishing comp to that date. Will keep you updated. 🙏🌞

Massive thank you to Dave Murray and the Auckland NZMCA for the fund raising event held yesterday at the Kaiaua Community Hall, proceeds to go towards the upgrade of the Boating Club's pontoon.
A great day and evening had by all. 😁

Fundraising Event on Saturday 11th Jan 2025, held by the Auckland NZMCA at the Community Hall, Lipscombe Street, Kaiaua.

1.30pm Pétanque challenge against the Kaiaua Boating Club Committee (Come and cheer us on!)

Any Kaiaua Boating Club member is welcome to come along and join in on the auction from 7pm. Awesome items to be auctioned, donated by local business/community members and NZMCA members. Also included will be lots of funny and mystery items.

"Get ready to open your wallets and have a blast at our fundraising auction! We promise you won't regret spending big, because it's all for a great cause. Plus, who doesn't love a little friendly competition? Come prepared to outbid your friends and leave with some amazing items. Let's make this the most successful auction yet!"

If you are interested in attending the Day Skipper course at the Kaiaua Boating Club please email [email protected] and we will add your name to the list. We have to confirm numbers to coastguard by 20th January.
The course is run over 2 days on 22nd and 23rd February from 9am to 5pm at a cost of $320 per person.

If you haven't already been in contact with Bryce and the team to service your outboard, ring now on 027 2551128 and they will get you sorted hopefully before their sponsored comp on 18th January 2025. Bring the kids, the grandkids or borrow a kid for the day, guaranteed to be a fun filled day.🐟🎣

Our next fishing comp is the Take a Kid Fishing sponsored by Buckland Marine on 18th January, this is always great fun for the kids and adults alike, high tide is at 11.14am with weigh in at 2pm. Bring the kids along and have a great family day at the club.
Our premier fishing comp Snapper Classic will be held on 15th February, high tide at 10.06am with weigh in by 4pm. Coromandel FM will be broadcasting from the boating club on comp day adding to the excitement and atmosphere that always is Snapper Classic. Please see the poster below for details of entries and the breakdown of the massive prize pool of $5850.00. All we need is the weather to play it's part and turn on a gorgeous day🙏🌞

Our next competition is the popular Take a Kid Fishing sponsored by Buckland Marine, high tide is at 11.14am and weigh in is by 2pm with prize giving to follow. There will be the water slide powered by 🚒 the fire truck from Kaiaua Fire, lots of fun and games, heaps of food every child who enters will receive a spot prize. Please be aware that only children can weigh in fish, but remember, no entry no prize.
