Yo! Merry Xmas! Just want to take a moment to thank every last one of you who have supported my wee indie record store! This whole thing started in a bedroom 2 years ago and I never thought I would be where I am now! Threes & Sevens wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you all choosing to shop local and independent! There are some big things in the pipelines for Threes & Sevens Records next year and I really think yall are going to love it......so keep your eyes peeled, tell ya friends, Spin Records, and thanks again for supporting a small indie record store yall are the best!

Herbs will be parked right outside so come down for a double dig and we have crate day on in-store so you can sign up to play your very own dj set!

The top club was kicks, our foray into full internet pe*******on obviously was a sucess!
Then I went to auckland and played at Chris fest to raise money for Chris! Who’s dukes up with MND, that’s a tough fight but we won that round the bads, dick move, durty murder, ratso, me and more were happy to be Chris’ corner people and the spirit was high and true!
Then I flew to chch grabbed my old dog and my newish truck and got kicking down the line, I’m heading for a make up date in invercargill at one of its newest greatest treasures threes and sevens records. Music from seven but come early and have a dig, I want 72 seasons my Metallica, you might want Tom waits or the WU REGARDLESS Jordan will have it I’m sure!

My very first show I ever played out of town in 1996.
Me and Benny Boy Bain from the bains had to take the intercity cause there was no room in the car.
It felt good to be 18 and doing it finally. We went to Dunedin and played with Nothing At All and I think Drunk Uncle in a cellar bar.
That show we got cause I gave a tape to John Baker who managed nothing at all.
In a full circle time John sings for the band Ratso who played in auckland on Friday.
We hugged and got deep like we always do, talking of time and how it passes and grief and love and rock n roll.
Next time I’ll tell him about the lagonda tea rooms and how this weird wheel ticks.
As the great Paul Kelly told my eastern comrade Brendan backstage when we played with him once,
“We’re still doing it brother, we’re still doing it”
The sun and the gulls pass over my bones here at the great lagonda and I know that I am glad of the above.
I wish you gladness wherever you are friends
Maybe we’ll share some in invercargill tonight!
