When ya kids parents won't do the right thing - 50/50 shared care and contributing to their childrens living costs etc, take them through the Family Disputes Resolution process via the courts.

If they don't come to the party you then get an exemption, pretty much a piece of paper that says you tried and they're ignorant.

After that you then apply to the courts for a parenting order which the judge will give.

It's not unreasonable for a father to do his children as per the standards of the Care of Children Act, The Oranga Tamariki Act and The Unicef Convention for Childrens Rights and to contribute time, care and finance, in fact, it's enforcable.

It's a minimum expectation from me with my kids dads unless they're in jail because they're more than capable of parenting their kids, well maybe not Joel... in saying that.. he did well to build a unit that complements the one we built together and the one I continue to build 💯💛

Can't wait to have every weekend off instead of once a year 🤦‍♀️😈

Way to mitigate the word "Displaced".

Fckk that s**t.

Some of y'all need to

Institutionalisation is a thing and most New Zealanders live in it.

We are not Savages, we are Survivors.

Or are we still Prisoners of War?

Abuse while in state care - false statements, abuse, negligence, unfair disadvantage, racism, failure to provide the neccesities of life, bullying, prejudice, discrimination.. and I'm just talking about the schools...
If it's "well known" Maori have intellectual, crime affiliated issues and poverty in their lives then why do the the courts allow Oranga Tamariki to involve themselves in what's proving to be an abusive Care and Protection cycle for us rather than putting our kids under the High and Complex needs unit, which has the correct Governance for our people.
Especially if there's gang and crime involvelment??
That is what it's for - special cases.

oh... and Happy Waitangi day everyone..
P.S if you have differing views, this ain't the place, I'm fighting real battles.

We work with whanau with complex family dynamics (ELSI Rating 1-4) who require specialist services to ensure basic whanau living needs are met.

Thought I'd share my thoughts ...
Too provoking not too..

To be fair, most governing bodies have lawyers who only specialise in the Act their agency/organisation/NGOs framework function under.

There aren't too many Lawyers who aren't Judges that specialise in consolidating legislation and there's alot a Judge cannot be involved in.

This failing means that it gets understandably hard to get the whole system to work collaboratively due to Laymen and under qualified "professionals" affectively running it.

Knowing that the 'system' is actually thousands of people with their own mindset making decisions should be relieving however, we seem to have some people using that systems authority but won't own the responsibility and culpability that comes with it.

This sort of behaviour seems to be causing the systemic issues New Zealand is and has been facing for the past 10 years💯

Personally I believe I'm doing pretty well altering precedents in the courts.
Especially for a little Maori girl from Marmite Village ✊

It's not too hard either considering the last time they were set was in a time where what our predecessors laid out was high-likely appropriate.

Times have changed.

The hardest part has been re-educating our Judges on Rangatiratanga and the actual effects of the Treaty of Waitangi on any legislation being used due to our culture and custom.

This is the main reason I am advocating for creating proper governance and authority for our own national medical insurance and exiting ACC.

Regarding Pombrotho Consultancy, we've been running for going on 2 years now and are finally starting to see the fruits of the seeds we sowed at the start.

Dedication, Focus, Comebacks and sheer Determination have been the recipe we've been running on over the last 19 months.

I'm building partnerships with people who share a similar mindset to my own.

I hope to utilise our collective to do great things with and for New Zealanders and New Zealands future ✊🔥🤙

I've been working hard for almost 2 years on everything great that's in my world right now and I won't be letting ANYBODY f**k with it.

This text is the sort of korero I have with my business partners and what keeps me and my drive on lock.

Our partnership provides Emergency housing and we will be providing Transitional Housing to Rangatahi and their whanau in the New Year.

The homes I'm thankful enough to be able to use for my company are worth almost $1M each.

They are fully furnished, have internet, sky, power and security cameras.

No, I'm not putting just anybody into them.

I'm not here to support people while they wreck what I'm building for my kids and their future.

I'm not here to help people make money while our people stay opressed or end up in debt at the end of our engagement.

I won't be engaging with anybody who wants everything handed to them on a platter.

I'm definitely not even having anybody on our properties who will wreck them and treat them like a kennel. Family or not.

Yes I do assess people. I choose who I engage with.

Either you get past MY bulls**t filter or you don't 👊

I come from a place where BS was in every 2nd sentence so I know it when I see it, before people even speak it 💯

I'm here to make a difference for our people.

The ones who are stuck in a rut, know who they truly are and want to reach true Rangatiratanga.

My company, my name, my culpability, my way.

Got issues widdit? Tell someone who cares. I don't.

The need to forgive is only there when there is resentment, pain, hurt, anger... to forgive is release of these feelings you are carrying.

Until the release of those feelings there won't be healing only denial.

Forgiving is not about continuing a relationship of sorts with that person either.

Forgiveness can mean just giving someone the fingers one last time and then never thinking of them or talking to them ever again. 💯

Grief.

Your brain needs to re-adjust to the gigantic situation it has encountered.

Your body inwardly is running 5 marathons a day.

You wake and re-remember and you will hurt all over again.

It takes some hours to get past this part.

For others it never stops.

Just remember.....

You can do this.

Rest when you need to.

Cry when you need to.

Breathe when you need to.

Sleep when you need to.

Eat when you need to.

And remember....

To always get back up.
