📷My personal favourites and memories? As a kid we used to visit Hanmer Springs frequently, driving the winding/gravel Inland Road from Kaikoura to visit the pools and walk Conical Hill - great memories. There are now so many more pools and options for kids too. I’m now lucky enough to live and operate out of Hanmer Springs. Video - an earlier memory this winter, during heavy snow on the waterfall walk - a must do here in Hanmer Springs that often flies under the radar.

⚠️Our road snowfall warning remains in place until Tuesday afternoon and evening.
⚠️We also have a heavy snow watch in place for areas between Oxford and Kaikoura (above 400m) until 6pm Tuesday.
ℹ️Snow in these areas may come close to warning criteria and our watch may be upgraded to a warning at any time. Our focus areas are the Hurunui and Kaikoura Districts, where easterly snow 'feeds' will be more sustained.
ℹ️Lesser falls will accumulate to 150-200m at times, with snow flurries affecting Inland parts of South and Mid Canterbury until Tuesday afternoon or evening.
