Note to all performers~
Do you pay to play?
Do you pay to join?
Do you pay to be listed on a website?
Please DON’T!!!
When one is applying to an agent you are not required to pay to join-
A good agent gets you work and then takes up to 20% some take 25%
Never let any agent charge you to join their books! Nor charge you for meetings or group get togethers. This is not professional and borders on a scam!
Also these groups offer “training” I believe, and are charging for the “course/lessons”
Again use at your own cost - meaning your time and money and loss !
As far as we are aware these outfits are NOT registered nor insured Stage or theatrical schools or colleges, So you may need to get your own insurance.
They Will not give you qualifications,
Thus there is no real point in attending said course, as you will have nothing to show for it except for a lighter bank balance and maybe have a little fun !
Honestly - you need to check if their teams are qualified or even really experienced enough in drama/dance/singing as stated in the Facebook adverts.
A professional tutor usually is required to have earned a professional equity card or right to be in SAG or have the proper knowledge to teach you the craft.
(in nz anyone can join equity, in uk one has to earn it = hours of paid work over a period of time- then one is awarded an equity card at a cost, without an equity card one cannot work or charge for work, however one can charge for their time but not at equity rate,) in the USAit is also different.
Of course one can offer lessons as long as they are clear around the outcome of what you are paying for.
I hope this makes sense.

We have worked over 45 years in the ents industry all around the world.
Please be careful out there.
Playing for free is an awful culture here too
It’s fine at the beginning of a career but not once you have attended a college or earned your certifications. The more professional performers play for free, the more it fosters a bad culture and accepted unprofessional practices.
You don’t see builders working for exposure
So why should you after all the years and money, blood, sweat and tears you have invested into your CAREER.
It amazes us that performers seem to be treated as if they don’t have a “proper” job!
Kind regards
