Every sane person likes to make informed decisions, especially regarding who will lead New Zealand. Everyone makes choices that affect our lives. This Election, there are some practical tools to help us be clear about where our vote should go rather than sponging unquestioningly headlines and making an instinctive decision. Policy NZ (https://policy.nz/2023) is the website where you can look at the areas that matter most to you, such as climate, education, the economy, health, housing or something else important to you. The site helps us browse the various parties' policies in that area. Also, you can see the Vote Compass (https://lnkd.in/e8H5Vk5R), which political scientists have created to help you explore how your views align with those of the parties; a survey on your core issues and interests produces informative data (even an excellent matrix to show where your thoughts sit alongside metrics like the economy and social wellbeing). Both tools allow you to consider the Policies, Parties and candidates. Whatever you do on October 14, please vote and be well informed.
