Papanui High School Raises Nearly $10K for Cancer Society at Annual Relay for Life Event

Papanui High School students and staff showed incredible community spirit and dedication as they participated in the annual Relay for Life event in Rangiora on April 1st.
The event to raise funds and support for the Cancer Society, saw an outstanding turnout of 36 teams and 415 individuals who collectively raised over $85,000 for the cause.
Of these participants, Papanui High School stood out with a phenomenal team of 52 students and three staff members, alongside numerous supporters throughout the day. Together, they raised an impressive $9,871.86 for the Cancer Society, with more donations still coming in.
The students of Papanui High School demonstrated a remarkable level of dedication and community spirit by walking and running over 105 laps of the Dudley Park track, which equates to a full marathon. Their commitment to the cause was evident throughout the day, and they represented their school with great pride.
