Two Waipā residents – Sally Davies of Te Awamutu and former deputy mayor Grahame Webber of Cambridge – have been honoured by King Charles III in the New Year's Honours List out today.
Davies, a Te Awamutu practice nurse since 1978 and one of the first nurses in New Zealand to specialise in diabetes management, gets a King's Service Medal for her voluntary work in hockey while Webber, an old boy of Te Awamutu College, gets the same medal.
