Pincots Cottage is centrally located in the Waikato District. Therefore local attractions are only a short drive away. - i.e. East Coast for the Bay of Plenty, West coast for Reglan, Otorohanga District for Waitomo Caves or just down the road - Hobbiton.
Over the next few weeks, we will publish some local attractions which can be visited anytime of the year.
Starting off with Hobbiton - BUT make sure you BOOK your trip to Hobbiton in ADVANCE.

Looking for a great way to spend your weekend? Join us at Takapoto Estate for our August Winter Showjumping! 🌞 We’ll have hot coffee and yummy refreshments at the ready ☕🍰🍷

Here’s what you can expect:

PRACTICE DAY ☕ Friday, 9th August (start time 9am)

Informal showjumping sessions for riders and horses.
Spectators welcome.
Cafe open: 8.30am - 2pm
Rider's Bar open: 3pm - Close
Takapoto Food Truck open: 3pm - Close
Trade Village: CLOSED

COMPETITION DAYS 🏅 Saturday 10th - Sunday 11th August

Main event starts at 9am both days.
Enjoy the cafe, food trucks, trade village, and Rider's Bar.
Plenty of parking available onsite. Spectating is free!
