What's happening at Urban Design NZ at the moment!!
Been a while since we gave you an update.

We are working on some great projects at the present moment.

One is a 41 site Sub-Division where we have designed 16 different 3/4 Bedroom style of homes in the deep South

Also have Multi Unit projects happening in Gisborne, Nelson, Whangarei, Christchurch and South of AKL.

I’m super lucky to have a great team to work along side. Makes the day a better day!!

Well if your thinking about what to do on the Annual , well how about chucking on some gumboots, and speedos and go for a run? Well thats what our very own team member Corey Choat is doing tomorrow.
We are bloody proud of this guy and what he has achieved so far this year, his dedication and desire to do this all for the right reasons.
He is closing in on his target of $50k, is approx at $41k, so lets get in behind him to hit this target tomorrow!!! All this money will be going straight into helping young NZers get the help they need.

I am asking all our past and present clients, friends to dig deep and help this great cause.

I know so many people who have known or had a family member struggle with Mental Health, lose someone we love or admire, we all have bad days, feel like the world is too much and just want to check out, dont, please DONT, just think for one more minute, sleep on it, talk, friggin talk!!!

Along with the article below, Corey will be on the TV, on Breakfast around 6.55am, and then on the AM show around 8.30am

Just a shout out to the two people who hold Urban Design together. Mixed emotions for the team today but one myself is I cant be more prouder for both of these people today

To the lady who keeps us honest and makes me keep the office clean and tidy, Rochelle Good Congrats on your Graduation (covie late a year) with her paper as a Architectural Designer. Well done and its been a great ride this far, lets keep pushing the boundaries for us to get better.

To the "Boss" Corey Choat I know its a tuff day for the Choat Whanau but we here at Urban Design hope today is filled with good mems and some laughter with the folks later. Shes always with you mate and you do her proud every day.

With the year ripping along, our workload has increased. We Design New Homes, Home and Incomes, Multi Unit Developments (townhouses) and Renovations all over NZ. So we want another motivated and hard working member to be part of our team.

Your role will be to be able to manage workloads, clients, councils and contractors.
The successful applicant shall
• Have ArchiCad Experience or be able to learn
• Have good Knowledge of NZ3604
• Good communication skills
• Have some experience in design Documentation of Residential work
• Be keen to learn
• NZ Res or Valid Work visa
• Manage workloads

Afternoon all our friends, whanau and past and present Clients.
Our very own Corey Choat who has been an integral part of Urban Designs success over the years is dedicating this year and running 1000km in support of Su***de. Corey and the Choat Whanau lost there sister and daughter to su***de.
I am lucky enough to know this whanau and have watched them go through life since Sally’s passing.
Please get in behind Corey and his journey.
We are so proud of what he’s doing and wish him well and will Donate $1000 to his cause when he hits 1000km. It’s the very least we can do.

Well its been a trying year this one and we are heading into the Holiday season full steam ahead.

At Urban Design we specialize in Multi Unit developments and New Home Designs.
For a small firm we sure do pack a punch, we currently have close to 200 Units either in Design/Resource Consent stage or in council and under construction!! Along with close to 40 new homes being Designed and in council.

We work all over New Zealand, with Projects currently in Whangarei, Auckland, Whakatane, Nelson, Gisborne and Christchurch.

They said it was a "Big Job"
With a site area of over 3100m² and 9m of fall across it definitely had some challengers.
We worked in with some great other consultants to pull off some great affordable living.
The site now has 14 x 4 Bedroom homes all with en-suites, and carparking and close to local transport.
They are only a few weeks form finishing with some landscaping and cleaning to be done.

Great day for a site visit to Matakana to check out the site cuts for 2 awesome homes we have designed
Both 4 beddies, open plan living. 1 with a vaulted ceilings the other with engineered trusses. Cladding are Abodo and ply n batten the other Cedar and ply n batten.

Can’t wait to watch these go up.
