Big Man Ting

Tonight I was honoured to receive the award for best writing NZ Web Fest for our film Dive-Short film Thank you to NZ NZWebfest Tyler Redmond for trusting me to write your story! To my co-star for being apart of the film, your bloody talented alright.

I also want to thank the amazing crew members who came from all over The Motu to bring such an ambitious project from, Marlborough, Tasman, Chch, Southland, Wellington, and Auckland and all the incredible humans who gave money to the project.

We are proud to announce that Dive has been selected for the Wairoa Maori Film Festival Inc. which is the oldest indigenous film festival in Aotearoa. We will be screening alongside Writer and Actor Fredrick Pokai's film Search For Hawaiki. We want to thank all the cast, crew, and supporters of our film. Kia Ora guys I am happy to announce that the good news keeps on coming for Dive it was just over a year ago we shot this film and it really feels like we are coming full circle. Many people may not know but The Top Of The south film festival was the very first film festival I entered when I was 14 and I sort of feel like it’s a little bit responsible for how hard I went at filmmaking in Blenheim.

This year marks the first year I’ve ever had a film that I have directed in the festivals gold reel and for me this means a lot cause it shows growth in my craft.

But of course filmmaking is a team effort so I would like to say Thank you to all involved!!!

AFIN International congratulates all award nominees and finalists for this category.

Short films are a fantastic format in themselves and often, many feature and TV series producers and directors still enjoy to make them. Whether it is a proof of concept, or a story which can be digested in a shorter setting. Any film up to 40 minutes of runtime is classified as a short film with us.

What can I say but thank you

On Wednesday Night we held a cast, crew and sponsors screening of the film which was the most surreal experience it really cool being surrounded by all of the team yet again!

I'm still recovering and I am completely at a loss for words of the support we have been given for this project so for now here are the photos taken by the incredible Jessica Jones Photography

Special shoutout to the whole team at Event Cinemas Blenheim who went above and beyond for us. (In Particular Phil , Ryan and Myrien)

Kia ora guys I am pleased to say we have the very talented Maxwell Stone joining the Dive team as our Composer , Can't wait for you guys to hear the score it's epic!!!!!

MAXWELL STONE is one of the New Zealand
entertainment industry’s most accomplished music
composers. Emerging in 2019 and contributing original
music to television and film projects exceeding 800
million USD at the international box office. His music has
been experienced in theatres and via digital distribution
to audiences of more than 75 million viewers globally.
Stone’s early career work involves over 20 film, television
and album projects. He is a 9-time scholarship/award
recipient including the sovereign gold award from Te
Herenga Waka for his contributions to the international
music community.
As a composer he has collaborated with some of the film industry’s paramount figures including;
David Leitch; James Gunn; Tyler Bates; Tim Williams; Nick Baxter and Alan Meyerson. His scoring
contributions support the acting work of industry titans including; Dwyane Johnson; Jason
Statham; Idris Elba; Vanessa Kirby; Ryan Reynolds; Helen Mirren; Kevin Hart; Cliff Curtis; Elizabeth
Banks; Steve Zahn; and Judy Greer.
Stone has worked on screen/album projects including; Agent Elvis (Soundtrack from the Netflix
Series); The Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw; Brightburn; Founder’s Day; Gringa; She
Came From The Woods; Finding You; and Creepshow.
His work includes preparing tracking and schedule supervising for large orchestral recording
projects, including at Abbey Road Studio One & Two with a maximum financial risk of 120 thousand
USD per day.
