Nick's first Scania was this R620 owned by TWM Limited in Queenstown. It's one of two that run between Christchurch and Invercargill - they even have matching personalised plates! These workhorses are both ticking over the 900,000km mark but are still immaculate inside and out.

After driving American rigs for 20 years, Nick says he's enjoying the comfort of his Scania. He also loves the power it has on the hills and that nice grumble from the V8 engine and chrome wheels.

The team at E H BALL ITM Invercargill will be delivering to Southland builders in style with this P500 10x4 Hiab unit. This rig will be busy carting building materials and trusses around Southland and up into Central Otago - which is why it's been custom-built with a lifting axle in the middle to prevent it from getting hung up on the steeper entrances around Queenstown.

A HUGE congratulations to the Maverick Mechanics from Christchurch – New Zealand’s Scania Top Team winners for 2025!

They’ll now represent NZ at the APAC Regional Competition in Bangkok in 2026, where they’ll go head-to-head with the best Scania teams from across the region.

When Roger from Skywork Helicopters asked Scania Account Manager Adam if we could make a truck you can land a helicopter on top of, he didn't laugh. Instead he said if it can be done, we'll do it.

Here's something you don't see every day. These two Scania LB110's were purchased in 1972 by Bruce Hall who owned AB and IB Hall Ltd in Mangatangi. Russ's Dad, Jim, drove one of these LB110's from new, carting coal, grain, and grapes - depending on the season. Every school holidays Russ got to travel in the passenger seat, until he was old enough to drive it himself. On Saturdays, Russ would wash the truck before being allowed to drive it up the road to refuel, and back again to park up in the shed.

Kerikeri is now home to another stunning and eye-catching green machine. Matt Simpkin and his team have just taken delivery of another Scania. This factory-built R 620 is packed with all the creature comforts you could expect, we even managed to duplicate that striking metallic green paint on the production line!

A huge thank you to our team at Scania NVP Drury for the craftsmanship and eye to detail that went into the build, the team at Transport Trailers Hamilton for yet another belter of an alloy build, and Kris Browne at Fleet Image for signage and livery, paint protection, and PrimoShield coatings!

You’ll see this unit working closely with the recently delivered 770 hauling products around the Auckland and Northland regions.
