Make sure to include Cornwall Park and One Tree Hill - Auckland NZ on your must-see list in Auckland, New Zealand.

Cornwall Park is a beautiful oasis in the heart of Auckland. It is home to various farm sheep and cows. It is Auckland's largest park, ideal for picnics or strolling through its lovely green grounds, or to admire the colourful blooming flowers and cherry blossoms. Here, you can enjoy a variety of activities, or simply relax under the shade of the trees.

The iconic One Tree Hill, located just a short walk from Cornwall Park, is a popular spot for panoramic views of Auckland and a great photo opportunity.

I had a fantastic time hiking today at a popular spot in West Auckland; the scenery is stunning! The thousand-step hike is exhausting, but the view is well worth it.

If you're visiting the Gold Coast, Queensland, don't miss the iconic sand pumping jetty, the famous Main Beach, Surfers Paradise for surfing and diving, and the new seaway promenade at the ever-popular Southport Spit (also known as The Spit).

Lakeside Park in Western Springs is a free day activity for families that offers a beautiful peaceful view of the lake, an easy walk or cycle path, vast green areas for picnic and relaxation, and the opportunity to observe the eels, playful black swans, and local birds.

The kids will definitely love the huge playground.🛝

Learn about the lake's historical significance to Auckland City.

The lakeside is next to Auckland Zoo and MOTAT. 🦒

Also, don't miss the beautiful and detailed landscaping at The Fukuoka Garden. Learn about the close relationship between Auckland and Fukuoka City.⛩️

We loved this place. The gated farm made it safer for kids to roam around. The kids loved the animal encounter, and the best part is that it was free!

The foreshore walk was simple, and the Manukau Harbour and shore were beautiful. Pack a windbreaker and boots because it's windy and muddy in some places. Bring a binocular as the shorebirds are very shy and cannot be approached too closely.

Stay on track by following the markers. For a closer encounter with the animals, try the Family Farm Walk.

It was amazing to learn about the history of the place as we walked.

Overall, the experience was enjoyable and relaxing. Simple yet extremely entertaining for the kids. Definitely one of our faves.

So, we were sad that the Karangahake Gorge Windows Walk was closed, but we know it was our fault for not doing advanced research. We're not sure if we'd have another chance to see the beautiful gorge if we went counterclockwise. But this just gives us another reason to visit this place again.

While in Karangahake, don't miss out on seeing the other remnants of the mine and checking out the Karangahake Old Railway Tunnel.

So much to learn about the history of mining in Waikato region. The Martha Mines at Waihi is huge, you need to visit this in person.

The food at The Bistro at the Falls Retreat is absolutely amazing, and heaps of weta around if you're keen.

The picturesque Owharoa Falls is refreshing. It is a great spot for a dip or picnic if you have enough time.

And don't forget to check out Waihī Beach as well - it's definitely worth visiting too!

The Peninsula Playground is the newest play area in Broadwater Parklands. This beautiful parkland on the Gold Coast has it all and caters to people of all ages and activities. This is definitely a must-see.

Day 4 of our Gold Coast adventure!

We visited Paradise Country in the morning. Heaps of farm animals to see and interact with, including sheep, koalas, meerkats, and more. The tractor ride and the pigs playground are definite must-sees for the kids. We enjoy seeing the animals play in the paddocks as well.

We went to Movie World in the arvo. We were gobsmacked by the superheroes and supervillains we met, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Joker, and many more! And the kids loved the rides, they had a great time. Heaps of rides for the adults too, and the live shows are not to be missed. One day (or even half) isn’t enough to explore the entire Movie World, so we returned after a few days. The full video of Movie World (Parts 1 and 2) will be uploaded soon.

If you missed the event, maybe our short video will give you an idea of what it was like. We, too, have missed some shows or highlights since the event is overcrowded. Overall, we had a great time. Food, lights, seating, games, and walkthroughs are everywhere, making it a fun and new experience for us.

If you're after a cityscape, then this video is for you. Heaps of spaces for cycling and scootering if the kids are after those activities, else the Silo Park is great too. The free boat ride to eastern viaduct is a must-try. Remember to visit the Hobson Wharf and NZ Maritime Museum, too.
