⚫️🔴 Toitu Te Tiriti

While not everyone can join the strike tomorrow, there are still powerful ways to participate in the nationwide activation day.
Here’s how you can make an impact:
- Minimize Spending: Avoid making any purchases for the day. This includes groceries, online shopping, dining out, and any other forms of consumer spending.
- Use Māori-Owned Businesses: If you must make purchases, prioritize Māori-owned businesses to support the Māori economy directly.
- Limit Transportation: Reduce your use of public transport, taxis, or personal vehicles to decrease economic activity in these sectors.
- Pause Subscriptions: Temporarily cancel or pause any subscriptions to services where possible, such as streaming services, gym memberships, and more.
- Work from Home: If possible, work from home to avoid contributing to the economy through commuting costs and office-related expenditures.
- Social Media Advocacy: Use your platforms to spread awareness about the strike and its objectives. Share posts, stories, and articles explaining the importance of upholding Te Tiriti.
- Banking and Finance: Refrain from using banking services, including withdrawing money, transferring funds, or making payments.
- Support Indigenous Initiatives: Contribute to Māori-led initiatives, charities, or funds that are focused on uplifting the Māori community and supporting their rights.
- Educational Engagement: Spend time learning about Te Tiriti o Waitangi, its historical and contemporary significance, and share this knowledge with others.
- Community Involvement: Join local events or online forums discussing the strike and ways to support Māori rights and recognition.
Your participation, even in these small ways, can collectively send a strong message to the government about the vital role Māori play in New Zealand’s economy and the urgent need to honor Te Tiriti.
Every action counts in making a difference ✊️

🌺ASB Polyfest 2024! 🌺

This year's theme is "Me anga whakamuri kia koke whakamua" - Looking to our past to determine our future ✨
TSI Māori and Pasifika Trades Training are one of the proud supporter sponsors, so I had the honor of attending this mornings event and it was truly heartwarming! 💖 We were treated to a mesmerizing performance by the Marist Girls Samoan group. Meanwhile, the echoes of Niuean speeches in the background added an extra layer of cultural richness❤️ And I also got to bump into our beautiful friends at TEC 🥰
Can you believe it? This year marks the 49th anniversary of Polyfest, and the celebration is bigger and better than ever before! 🥳 Let's come together to celebrate our diversity, heritage, and the bright future ahead which are pur youbg people. Don't miss out on the festivities! Last Day is tomorrow !🎊
