Rim Books is an artist focused publishing venture, established in 1996 in Auckland, Aotearoa/ New Zealand to produce and promote publications of photographic art, applied arts, art history and exhibition catalogues, that may not easily be taken on by more mainstream publishers. Our aim is to retain the original vision of the authors/artists, while providing support for editing, design and producti

on to ensure enduring, high quality publications, without the constraints of commercial agendas. We are a small operation based in a small city in a small country, relying on networks of regional and international artists and authors who project, preserve and foster the independent voice intended for a world-wide audience.

Two Rooms and Rim Books are pleased to launch a special artist edition of Joyce Campbell's LA Botanical.
The first edition was published in 2007 to accompany the exhibition LA Botanical at G727, a Los Angeles gallery dedicated to generating dialogue via artistic representations and interpretations of the urban landscape.

This 2022 second-edition reissue by Rim Books, published on the occasion of the exhibition at Two Rooms features two extra plates. It is reproduced in duotone with a foreword by Dr Sue Ballard and a new cover hand-printed on a vintage Asbern cylinder letterpress by the artist in twenty distinct botanical iterations in numbered editions.

We are delighted to receive a few advance bound copies of LA Botanical, to accompany Joyce Campbell's in credible show just opened at the Two Rooms gallery.

The first-edition was published in 2007, to accompany the exhibition LA Botanical at G727 – a Los Angeles gallery dedicated to generating dialogue via artistic representations and interpretations of the urban landscape.
