Big congratulations to Ashok Kumar from Aorere College, who took home the LearnWell prize at the 29 Nov Statistics Teachers’ Day event!
It was a fantastic day, organised by the University of Auckland Department of Statistics and the Auckland Mathematics Association. Teachers were really engaged with our resources, and it was the perfect way to wrap up the last event of the year.

Sue had a fantastic time at the Bay of Plenty Home Educators' Expo in Tauranga last week, connecting with families at every stage of their home education journey. A common theme? The need for quality, NZ-made resources like LearnWell’s Start Right Workbooks, which many attendees already use and love.
Families appreciated knowing our resources align with the NZ curriculum while being flexible for different approaches to learning. The refreshed Start Right Workbooks were a hit, with their inviting layout and practical focus.
We’re proud to support homeschooling families in creating the best learning experiences for their tamariki!

Change is likely coming again for Level 1. These ongoing shifts can be challenging for students, parents and teachers trying to maintain stability. We understand how hard it is to keep up when the goalposts keep moving.
Our approach has been measured—balancing adaptability with effectiveness to ensure resources meet students' needs no matter the changes. At the heart of it all, we remain focused on supporting our rangatahi to grow into their potential.

The system is not fair, 'not working', and it might be time to scrap it, a review says.
