A niche publication, the Flagstaff is free of charge, published fortnightly and delivered to 10,000 homes and businesses, providing insightful and topical news coverage for the Devonport peninsula. The Devonport Flagstaff was established in 1992 as a bi-weekly, magazine format newspaper, published in black and white and with 16 pages. Its first full-colour edition was printed in January 1998 and i

t is now generally 40 or 48 pages per issue. The Devonport Flagstaff’s experienced journalists are passionate and knowledgeable about Devonport. The paper is a focal point of news for the community, with the expertise to report on issues that affect local families and businesses and break news — national broadcasters, newspapers and other media regularly follow up stories and features they first came across in The Devonport Flagstaff.
