Our company is well established. We have 50+ employees and been in business for 26 years.
We have been chosen to work with North Power bringing fibre broadband to homes and businesses around Northland. The NZ Ultra Fast Broadband (UFB) project is one of the largest and most successful Telecommunications infrastructure projects in Australasia fibre to the home project. This has escalated our work load significantly, hence we need high calibre fibre optics technicians to join the Clearvision growing family.
We are also the primary contractor for several New Zealand leading companies like North Power, Fulton Hogan, Electrix, City Care, Water Care and others.

The Role:
• You will be looking after our customer's installations and services.
• Preferable with relevant civil experience i.e. Trenching, concrete cutting, Ribbonet jointing and other related civil and telecommunications facets
• Fibre cabling and Fusion splicing in commercial and domestic properties (FTH project).
• Fiber blowing & hauling
• We are after a Smart, fit, healthy, reliable, honest, hardworking all-rounder
• Be able to read and understand plans and designs
• High attention to details and quality workmanship
• Provide high level customer services
• Submit all associated paperwork on time
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner; focused on Health and Safety and Quality assurance

It will be a great advantage if you a have any of the following:
• Concrete and/or asphalt reinstatement
• A current Traffic Control or STMS qualification
• A Sitesafe passport
• A current first aid certificate
• Chorus WTC certificates

You will receive:

• You will manage a fully kitted van or truck, test equipment, mobile & laptop.

For this role you will need following experience and knowledge:
• Knowledge of related Telecom facets like NGA / UFB fibre cable laying, blowing, splicing, trenching, digging, troubleshooting and other related facets like overhead / aerial cabling.
• Civil work trenching, Micro trenching, Installing Pedestals, channel pits.
• Civil Remedial work Dig & fix, creating laterals
• Concrete & asphalt reinstatement
• Knowledgeable of Chorus /Enable standards also knowledge with the city council requirements and National code of practice.
• Understand New Zealand building standards.
• Have minimum a full Class 1 Driving Licence.
