CBA exists to share the heart of the Christian faith in mainstream media. We use top rating secular commercial radio to reach huge audiences of people who would never set foot inside a church.
Our vision is to produce a wide range of positive, thought-provoking Christian programmes for top secular radio networks across the country.
Real Life with John Cowan - airs from 7:30pm-8pm Sundays on Newstalk ZB.
John interviews a different high-profile guest each week. The conversation goes deeper than what they would be known for, exploring our guestsโ upbringing, their views on the world, and where appropriate we delve into their views on faith.
Quite apart from the testimonies delivered by individual guests, simply having those conversations in the public sphere establishes faith as a core part of many peopleโs lives that is worthy of further investigation.
Total Recall with Frank & Jax - airs from 6pm-7:30pm Sundays on Newstalk ZB.
Each week our hosts Frank Ritchie & Jax van Buuren launch a talkback conversation from an event this week in history. This allows us to cover all sorts of topics from the frivolous to the sacred.
We donโt always talk explicitly about matters of faith, but our hosts are on the look-out for opportunities to inform and intrigue our listeners about who this Christian God is, and what his heart might be for humanity.
Christmas Broadcasts
Since 1996 Newstalk ZB has given CBA at least 12 hours of airtime every Christmas day.
More recently weโve also provided Christmas programming to RadioLIVE as well.
Whilst every Christmas broadcast is unique, we tend to draw on many of the same experienced broadcasters every year like Ian Grant, Petra Bagust, Frank Ritchie, Dayna Vawdrey & Rob Harley.
Weโre also always looking to develop younger talent and come up with bold and creative ways to tell the greatest story ever told afresh.
Some of those creative productions have even won local and international radio awards.
Easter Broadcasts
Since 1996 Newstalk ZB has given CBA 12 hours of airtime every Good Friday, typically simulcast on Radio Sport.
More recently weโve provided Easter weekend programming to RadioLIVE as well.
