"I think that's the beauty of the story - doesn't matter where you are or where you're celebrating, the story doesn't change and who Jesus is doesn't change either." 💛

When Julia Grace laughs about living in a cow shed 🐄 while her new home is being built, she can’t help but compare it to the first Christmas 🎄 It’s a reminder that God’s story often starts in unexpected places - just like CBA’s Christmas broadcast reaches unexpected places too: hospital wards, long drives, quiet homes 🏡

This life-giving broadcast on Newstalk ZB reaches over 300,000 listeners and only happens because of the generosity of people like you. Can you help share this hope? 🙏

A financial gift from you helps us reach thousands of listeners across the country. Or, by becoming a regular monthly giver, you’ll help us keep sharing hope throughout the year - not just at Christmas.

We were not expecting some of these answers from Julia Grace! 😂

Check out the full kōrero between Julia and Miki on our website to hear more about why Julia continues to give up part of her Christmas Day to join us on Newstalk ZB 🎄

Would you help make this possible? 💛

Your gift today helps bring light into dark places. Together, we can reach thousands of listeners across the country and remind them that hope is still here. Will you give generously for the message of the Gospel to be heard? 🙏

Christmas isn't easy for everyone ❤️‍🩹 - and this is something that Julia Grace knows all to well. "A number of years ago, I found myself unexpectedly as a single mum. Christmas went from being peaceful to being mixed with a really tough time."

This year, Julia will once again be part of our 18 hours of Christmas broadcast on Newstalk ZB 🎄, sharing stories of hope to listeners who are feeling alone, hurt or unseen this festive season.

Would you help make this possible? 💛

As part of this week's dedication celebration, guests left CBA encouraging words for this next season of our mahi in the form of recorded voice messages (in the new studio!) and written notes stuck in our new lobby. We are so grateful! What a blessing 💙

Prayer was the central focus of yesterday's dedication service. Prayers from staff were woven between kōrero from Rev Otene Reweti, Board Chair Paul Webber, CEO Phil Guyan, Te Karere Scarborough and Amiria Reid from Te Wānanga Ihorangi, as well as a song led by Nathan King 🙏

Yesterday morning, we were honoured to have Rev Otene Reweti (Ngāti Whātua, Ngāpuhi) lead our staff through a blessing of our new building at sunrise 🌅 It was an incredibly sacred, meaningful time of prayer and reflection together as we begin this new season. We also learned the name of our new home, kindly gifted to us by Rev Otene - welcome to Te Rongopai 🏡

Clearing out 30 years of storage unearthed some throwback treasures from CBA's work in the 90s. These are cassette tapes of radio programmes, including Radio Jerusalem, Scrubcutters, Easter monages, and more! 📼 What a privilege it is that we have been able to share the heart of the Christian faith in mainstream media for so many years.

Mariah Carey is defrosting extra early around here ❄️ Our final shoot at Penrose also happened this week - and yes, we've already got Christmas in mind! 🎄

Alongside the dismantling of desks, labelling of boxes, finding long-lost Tupperwares, and rediscovering oldphotos, preparation for our 18 hours of Christmas broadcast has begun!

The Crazy Kiwi Christmas Kids Show is being written and we can't wait to share what we got up to with this lovely set-up here with Miki, our Head of Fundraising and Donor Relations 👀

Nice to meet you!

CBA exists to share the heart of the Christian faith in mainstream media. We use top rating secular commercial radio to reach huge audiences of people who would never set foot inside a church.

Our vision is to produce a wide range of positive, thought-provoking Christian programmes for top secular radio networks across the country.

Real Life with John Cowan - airs from 7:30pm-8pm Sundays on Newstalk ZB.

John interviews a different high-profile guest each week. The conversation goes deeper than what they would be known for, exploring our guests’ upbringing, their views on the world, and where appropriate we delve into their views on faith.
