FABULOUS FOXY.

The team at Sports Inc. has had the privilege of working with Foxy for many years.

From filming with Ryan as an amateur golfer, through to the thrill of producing content of Ryan’s Masters debut earlier this year.

Over all the years Foxy hasn’t changed a bit. A genuine, humble, and affable New Zealander…..and more recently, a proud family man.

What a thrill it was to see Foxy triumph over a world-class field at the Championship with his family watching on.

As much as Foxy has said how proud he is to have his name on the prestigious trophy, I’m sure the is just as proud to welcome Foxy as its latest champion.

CREATING MEMORIES AT THE MASTERS.

One of the key reasons for being in the sports content game is that we get to create special stories and share them with others.

Our recent trip to Augusta National Golf Club to cover Ryan Fox 's debut at The Masters was a memorable experience. Thanks to Ryan and his family and friends, we were able to give New Zealand sports fans a unique insight into one of the world's great events......like Ryan sharing his drive down the iconic Magnolia Lane with his proud parents.

Fantastic effort by my travelling companion Dan Frost on both his camerawork and editing prowess. Top job, Frosty!

ON TOUR AT THE MASTERS .

At Sports Inc. we’ve been fortunate enough to cover some great sports events. The Masters at Augusta National is a favourite.

Thanks to we’re back at ‘the cathedral of golf’ next week. This trip made even more exciting as we follow the fortunes of Kiwi golfer at his Masters debut.

Each day, beginning next Tuesday (NZT) we’ll be producing an editorial segment called ‘On Tour’. The content will include special ‘behind the scenes’ moments unique to the Masters, with a focus on Ryan.

Content can be seen on Sky Sport 6, Sky Sport Now and the Sky Sport YouTube channel, as well as highlights on .nz News and News.

GREAT PEOPLE & A SUPERB RESULT FOR OUR ‘MATES’!

Gulf Harbour Country Club hosted the event. Billed as New Zealand’s Celebrity-Amateur Team Championship, the charity event saw twenty sports personalities captain corporate teams in pursuit of golfing glory.

It was Commonwealth Games gold medal high jumper who led his BEL Energy side to victory, golf icon and On Target Drilling placed second with champion shot putter captaining The Clubroom] to third spot. BlackCap Tim Seifert prevailed in the celebrity long drive with a 301 metre effort.

The event raised $50,000 for charity partner The funds assisting the charity with their vital work in lowering the high rate of su***de in the contruction industry.

Sports Inc. was thrilled to be able to stage The Fox Fishing & Golf Festival presented by Shimano Fishing New Zealand for host Ryan Fox, our great bunch of sponsor partners, and the seventeen teams from around NZ who made their way to Waihi Beach.

The event also managed to raise $38,600 for two worthy volunteer organisations Waihi Beach Surf Lifesaving Club & Waihi Beach Volunteer Coastguard.

JASON MAKES THE CUT!

Great day out in Kumeu yesterday for the Sports Inc. team covering the STIHL Timbersports NZ Champs.

Congrats to legendary Kiwi axeman Jason Wynyard on winning the men’s event, and with it the opportunity to contest for a 10th world title in Sweden later this year.

We’ll done to STIHL NZ and the athletes on the successful staging of the event in challenging times.

A one-hour highlights package will be on Sky Sport NZ.

It's the eve of the third edition of The Fox Fishing & Golf Festival presented by Shimano Fishing New Zealand, and we're set for a great few days at Waihi Beach.

Our host Ryan Fox has returned triumphant after his fantastic win in Abu Dhabi on the DP World Tour. (not bad when the latest tour winner's next tourney is at the Waihi Golf Club!)

Everything's set to go as we look forward to welcoming seventeen teams to Waihi Beach. ( thankfully the RED setting allows us to stage the event as we have under 100 participants.) As well as enjoying a great time fishing and golfing, our teams will also be looking to raise funds for two outstanding volunteer organisations - Waihi Beach Surf Lifesaving Club and Waihi Beach Volunteer Coastguard.

'Wags' loves his fishing and golf, and after his recent heroics for NZ in the test wins over West Indies and Pakistan, the inspirational quick bowler will no doubt be a popular choice when the skippers are auctioned off for Foxy's tourney!

Neil joins Olympic rowing double gold medalist Eric Murray, All Blacks coaching guru Wayne Smith and European Golf Tour winner Mark Brown as Foxy's 'Celebrity Skippers' for the event on March 4-6.
