Getting ready for our annual Oranui Games this long weekend, as we prepare for 90+ people who have registered, our campsites & accommodation all booked up. With a fun packed weekend incl many Sports being played (for both adults and kids), Make your own burger + bingo night, Toga party with Live Music, Continental breakfasts, Egg & spoon toss, water balloon fights, colour run and a medal ceremony to end off!

The INF-FNI today leads a global coalition of 30 nations challenging Meta’s censorship and demanding fairness for body positivity and naturism.

An open letter emphasizes that this issue goes beyond naturism, calling attention to how censorship of non-sexual nudity perpetuates body shame and undermines the promotion of body positivity. It calls for platforms to adopt fairer and more consistent moderation practices.

Naturist federations from six continents are participating in this initiative.

Stéphane Deschênes, President of INF-FNI, said “Unjust censorship is not only unfair to our community but also sends a damaging message to society that the human body is inherently shameful. Social media has the power to normalize inclusivity and body positivity, but it’s time for change.”

We have a cute, furry visitor here at the club, who has been roaming around. We are not sure whether it is a wild rabbit or someone's pet rabbit. Today is National N**e Gardening Day - a great way to give naturism a go if you havent done it before - so why not get out into your garden and get in touch with nature!

You could shake your fist at the idea, but the NZ Federation of Naturists says N**e Gardening Day is a global phenomenon, and you don’t have to be a naturist to get amongst it.

What a fantastic weekend we had at AONC to celebrate our 75th birthday! Starting off with a live music performance at the bar, followed by a delicious catered dinner and spectacular fireworks on Saturday. On sunday we had a very special afternoon tea with birthday cake. So many members pulled together to make the weekend a success, which is what we are all about! If you are looking for a community of like minded naturists, this is the heart of AONC (we will upload more photos of the weekend but heres a few in the meantime!).

Today we celebrate AONC's 75th Birthday! The club was founded on the 28th August 1949. When our club was formed, there was nothing but land (covered in weeds and bush). Members started and built the entire club from scratch so that, today, we may still enjoy and develop what was started 75 years ago. We honour those members who founded our club, as well as all the members who have, through the years, made the club what it is today. The club is its people and the people are the club 🧡

Today we honor Matariki in NZ 🌠 Don't forget tomorrow's delicious Matariki Spit roast and Stargazing event at AONC, for those who booked their tickets (note there will also be fun activities for the kids from 4pm). As we acknowledge this year's theme: "Matariki heri kai." (Matariki, the bringer of food). A beautiful time to come together as we reflect on the past year, celebrate the present, and plan for the year ahead.

A few weeks ago, on the evening of mothers' day, we got to witness the majestic Aurora Australis at Auckland Outdoor Naturist Club, as a vibrant pink lighted the sky. This photo was captured by our on-site manager/caretaker at the time (with the clubhouse and the silhouette of the trees in the distance). Who else got to experience this magnificent wonder?
