Tortang Giniling (Filipino Meat Omelette)
Ingredients:
• ½ kg ground pork (or beef)
• 3 eggs
• 1 small onion, finely chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 small tomato, chopped
• 1 small potato, diced (optional)
• ½ tsp salt
• ½ tsp black pepper
• 2 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions:
1️⃣ Sauté the filling – Heat oil in a pan, then sauté garlic, onion, and tomato until softened. Add ground meat and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper. If using potatoes, add them and cook until tender. Let it cool slightly.
2️⃣ Prepare the batter – In a bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the cooked meat.
3️⃣ Cook the omelette – Heat a little oil in a pan. Pour a portion of the mixture and spread evenly. Cook for about 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Repeat for remaining mixture.
4️⃣ Serve and enjoy! – Best paired with banana ketchup and steamed rice! 🍽️
📌 Tip: For extra flavor, add grated cheese or chopped bell peppers to the mixture!
