Oh my.... im so excited.
At our LIVE -loveray- rehearsal on Friday night at Jonkers Barn, the first jam was 41minutes and is so hinting at the power of the -Loveray- formulae, (yes there kina is a recipie for our creations):
Stick 5 or 8 musicians together that have never played together before, in a room with an auddience, push record and make up an improv song or 12 on the spot. Cook for 2.5 hours, then let cool off a day or 2...

.. another oldie from the past, going the distance again. A great punk riff from my early 20's created while traveling with a guitar through the Australian dense rainforest and outback bush, resurfaced to fully speed punk out the ending, at our -Loveray- Jam in the barn last Friday.

I love its youthful attitude and un PC non evolved stance: that my happiness is your responsibility and im not in control of it, or rather its your fault if im unhappy or happy, in myself.

Its a p**s take, a tounge in cheek conversation (or arguement) starter.

Managed to smash out a final Fear Up Harsh experimental live recording for 2024 on Sunday afternoon before diving in the pool to cool off, too shatteredd to set up my usual guitar rig, so we dusted off an old accoustic with rusty strings, and got creative with that.
Fear Up Harsh is Michael Ferriss (synths and Chaos), Geffrey Gane (percussion & voice) and myself Rayna Love (guitar percussion and Voice).

When Rana Hamida joins us its called Yet Undefined

We create award winning film soundscapes improvised and recorded live in Michaels lounge studio.

We will do a live performance there early in the new year... so watch out for that intimate exotic other worldly sonic experience...

Merry Christmas, heres a ditty from the new -Loveray- direction.
PS we are still auditioning for performers to add to our collective sceduled to perform at several summer festivals in 2025, Im also curious to meet dancers and stage artists that are drawn to colaborate with us to offer visual performances during our set.
We were really blessed to have Denis audition on vocals last night, hes just turned 18 and probably has not much experience in a band situation but great to see him stepping up. From a start like this I predict great things for him if he keeps at it. Tell me what you think... and its not an easy environment to sing, in a loud warehouse with a loud band making s**t up on the spot... !!!

Had a really fun -Loveray- busking set at Titirangi Village Market yesterday, the day was hot but fresh not stuffy, and the market was a gentle friendly buzz, as usual.

It was nice to team up with Gabe Rishworth and Samuel Manson and perform without rehearsal, and enjoy the creativity.

This is the last track of 9 recorded live on my mob ph, and slightly gutted i missed the first two jams on the handpan that sounded amazing, we always launch straight into jamming before i get s**t like recording it organised.

What I like about this 15min last track is that its completely by feel and starts off ZZTop ish bluesey and ends up funky reggae, and its just 3 guitarists ripping up and down having fun as a trio.

hey remember that time...

The Eleventh release fresh off Friday nights live recording,
I actually missed posting this yesterday, i though i had uploaded all i could, but wait.... theres one more i missed.
One of 14 original tracks captured on my mob ph.
A great live jam rehearsal last night at Jonkers Farm (Waitakere) with Gabe Rishworth on ripping guitar, Ollie on drums and Jeff landing late in the piece with his percussion,
Performing some of Gabe’s songs and pulling a handful of old -Loveray- classics, out of the history hat (songs I haven’t played for about a year, with the new lineup that has just improvised new material weekly for these last 10 months)
I met Gabe just over a year ago, he and Rosa busking after my set but I invited them in on the end of mine and here we are. Musical roundabouts.
How fun was the Barn, such a West Auckland gem and Greg and whanau such warm hosts.
I’m talking to him about creating a ticketed -Loveray- gig there in a few weeks. stay tuned...
