LUFS is a measurement standard that helps us understand perceived loudness in an audio track.

It's crucial for ensuring that your music is playing at the right loudness for the listener BUT I see WAAAYYY too many producers playing as engineers focus on this as some magic key to being louder and (somehow) better - when that's far from the case.

There is no LUFS target that can fix a bad production or a bad mix 🎚️✨

But using target reference thresholds ARE important for a few different contexts;
Streaming Standard (Spotify): -14 to -11 LUFS
DJ/Club Standard: -8 to -4 LUFS
Sync Composition: -16 to -14 LUFS

It's been a whole damn year since I decided to pursue this music journey - and boy what a year it's been...

Numbers are not something that are a part of my goals, but knowing that there's someone that enjoys what I create is enough for me

If I told myself a year ago I'd be able to go from where I was, suffering with myself, beyond burnt out and depressed to doing what I love and enjoying it.... man...
